A picture is worth a thousand words... but today, we only asked for one! 🎨📖
For #NationalDictionaryDay, we challenged our team to free-draw a word and write out its definition. Let’s just say some of them should stick to their day jobs, and others completely blew us away!
Which one is your favorite?

Marianne: I'm trying to talk my (adult, wildlife conservationist) daughter in to joining me for the Bull Run (November 22): Year in the Life of an Owl program.
I am always a promoter of anything ESL/ELL, and we have a LOT to offer. I worked the nights that Chinn had their Literacy Volunteers English Conversation group. I often gave impromptu tours to the patrons, introducing the digital resources (Pronunciator/Transparent Language, the tablets, the Learning Express for classes and testing, and helping them to get library accounts!
Sarah: There's so much going on this month at Manassas City, so it's hard to choose! This Tuesday we're doing a spooky craft from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and throughout October we'll be doing a Halloween Pet Costume Contest and a spooky Blind Date with a Book! I also want to let the writers in the area know that the Adult Writing Contest will be back starting November 1!
Patrons will be able to submit short stories and or poetry for the chance to win prizes and the opportunity to have their work published on our website! #AskALibrarian
