This harvester set-up guide helps growers identify where losses are occurring, measure and value them, and make adjustments to improve harvest efficiency and profitability.
It covers header front losses, feeder house and threshing system set-up, cleaning losses, harvest weed seed control, safety and machine settings.
A correctly set up harvester can also increase tonnes harvested per hour, reduce horsepower requirements and lower operating costs.
Growers should also be familiar with their manufacturer’s operating manual and seek machine-specific advice where needed.
