Huge congratulations to Cllr Nweeda Khan on becoming the 698th Mayor of Preston and making history as the city’s first Muslim female Mayor. A proud moment for Preston and fully deserved. Wishing her every success for the year ahead representing our city and communities. 💙 @navvy_1982

Great to see progress on the new kitchen at @PrestonComHub Soon it will be used for coffee mornings, mental health catch ups and bringing the community together. Spaces like this are important in supporting residents and strengthening the local community. #Preston

I have written to Cllr Warren Goldsworthy, Reform’s Cabinet Member for Highways at Lancashire County Council, opposing the decision to switch on enforcement cameras on the New Hall Lane bus lane. Local residents and businesses want it scrapped. They are being ignored. Working communities deserve better.

My statement on the Gafoor appeal outcome and the wider need for fair, consistent enforcement in St Matthew’s Ward.

St Matthew’s PACT meeting tonight. Crime is coming down and residents are starting to feel the difference. Your local councillors are working closely with police and partners. Visible results. More to do for St Matthew’s Ward.🌹
