My new book, What We Owe The Future, is now available for pre-order!
It makes the case for longtermism, the view that positively affecting the long-run future is a key moral priority of our time.
Here's a thread about it...

Dear corps… if you want to get the attention of a creator, don’t send emails:
1. Friday eve
2. Weekends
3. Super early Monday AM
There’s a “leave me alone” window. We have families. If your hope is the email will be seen first thing Monday morning… it’s already below the fold – at Ashland, OR

I’m pessimistic about most efforts to combat online misinformation for the same reason I expect the “War on Drugs” will continue being won by the drugs: You can’t fix a demand-side problem by targeting supply.

Actually said “two weeks” @adamcarolla

Sure, sure. You’re just simplifying the process.

Why didn’t U.S. public health agencies make home test kits a bigger priority? I think elite panic played a part: Home testing gives people personal control over their health information.

He literally says “nobody cares about what’s happening to the Uyghurs.” Pretty disturbing to see someone be this casually cruel and dismissive. At least he’s upfront, I guess.
Owner of the @warriors🏀 says he doesn’t care about the Uyghurs.
The conversation goes downhill from there.

I host a two-hour Q&A every morning (about media prod). As a speaker or viewer, I would 100% prefer Q&A over a talk. Talks run at 1x speed. If there’s no interaction, just make a good video.
For 25 years I’ve quietly turned almost all my talks into a Q&A with a few slides.

A little more coverage about some of the work we're doing in Office Hours... now on NPR's @hereandnow
It's pretty exciting to see the crew getting they props they deserve.
At 12:33 p.m. ET today my story on the Belfast Method airs on @hereandnow over NPR. The Belfast Method allows crew members of video productions to participate from all over the world.
