With Miami beating Ole Miss, the SEC finishes 1-8 against P4 teams in bowls, 0-3 in the playoff against other P4 teams and doesn’t get to the title game for 3 straight years So look for ESPN & Greg Sankey to push for 9 SEC teams in the playoff next year xitter.cf/fsh733/status/20094812…

The committee has to stop gifting the SEC almost half the playoff field. Bowl season and the playoffs have really revealed how the conference just isn’t that much better than anyone else. Period. End of story.

I do not know a single alleged victim of sexual abuse who claims they are perfect, or any Christian victim of abuse that thought they didn't need Jesus to save them from their own sin. But, overwhelmingly, victims of abuse struggle with false guilt for sin that is not their own.

Phillip Rivers is a winner no matter what the scoreboard says. I was more than skeptical when he returned to play. I thought why not someone younger? Why not someone who has practiced all year? I put my limits on him, & I was wrong. He’s inspired, and energized this team. I’m not sure where this ends up or if they ever win a game, but Phillip Rivers is a Hall of Famer. I won’t doubt dude again! #MondayNightFootball #SportsCenter #PhillipRivers #NFL

Joe Buck made a great point during the game re: Rivers. The amount of people who have come out to laud, show respect, and share their own great Rivers stories the last two weeks has been a gift. This ride has been a Philip Rivers appreciation party; he never really properly got.

It’s 2025. Philip Rivers just threw a TD pass. The NC State legend is defying Father Time in his return from retirement.

I recently sat down with pastor and historian @SeanMLucas to talk about the founding vision of the PCA for the Alliance for Mission & Renewal. I hope it will help familiarize PCA pastors, members, and those journeying into the PCA with our history & vision as a denomination. 👇

Dale Murphy was a top 5 player for a decade. His stats match up with the best players of the 1980s, and he did it on some very bad teams. He’s a 2x MVP and has the second-most RBI over those 10 years. It’s a travesty that he’s not in the Hall of Fame.

hey Pablo, I was sexually assaulted as a teenager and THEN I was forced to undress with Lia Thomas in a locker room 18 times per WEEK I was on the team. He is a man. It was disgusting, violating and traumatizing. Is that enough for you to understand?
Context: Simone Biles got sexually assaulted by Larry Nassar. Riley Gaines now seems to get paid to accuse Lia Thomas of doing something similar… …while ALSO never speaking aloud about her male coach/“best friend” getting banned for life after multiple rape allegations at UK:

To put it simply, who are the ones actually trying to change the PCA?
The OP quoted in this thread implored people to join a denomination that fits their desired practices instead of trying to change the one they are in. The AIC on Women in Ministry's report is an important rejoinder for two reasons: 1. It sets a /1

Casey Means wrote about how she channelled moon magic, spoke to trees, and engaged in “indigenous wisdom.” Casey Means even used a spiritual medium and psychedelics to align herself with spiritual powers and connect herself to the spiritual realm. Now, notice how many Christians in politics are very, very quiet about a woman who has not just practiced, but advocated occult practices being advanced for the Surgeon General’s nomination. Many of the very Christians who attacked Tim Keller for his “third way” approach to faith in politics are not just sitting silently by, but many of them actually support putting this practitioner of the occult into office. They have, as Keller said they would, chosen to put their political loyalties first. The bros embracing Christian Nationalism are really silent about a Wiccan in government. The women who profess themselves Christians first are willing to give the crystals a try. The President of the United States has advanced the nomination of a person who engages in witchcraft to be Surgeon General of the United States, and the Christians in politics are either really silent or supportive. ewerickson.substack.com/p/wi… cc: @SenBillCassidy

Replying to @WesleyLHuff
@WesleyLHuff this is what I mean. You can see in the photos that Ignatius does have a high view of bishop, but he also believes in the parity of bishops and the presbytery. It's not very different from Clement.
Replying to @WesleyLHuff
Yes, and the standard take, taught in church history classes, is that Ignatius of Antioch represents the monoepiscopal view. However, I argue that both Ignatius and Clement present a hybrid polity between presbyterian and episcopal. I can share more if that piques your interest.
