#TreeTip: Though it might seem that large established trees can fend for themselves, all urban trees need care & attention. It can be hard for trees to take up enough water when soils are compacted or lack organic matter; or sustain during times of heat and drought.

#SoilTip: Since compaction is such an issue in our #soil, minimize foot or equipment traffic. Avoid driving heavy machinery or vehicles over your lawn & especially at the base of trees in order to keep air spaces intact and don't pile construction debris at the base of trees.

DYK? If you need a #tree trimmed & a power line clearance is less than 10', you MUST call your electric service provider first to report the pruning needs. Only their contracted arborist may prune close to power lines. We are NOT allowed to prune unless contracted by Oncor.
