ALT A quote from the preprint review written in grey on white background with orange triangles in two corners of the graphic. The quote reads: The paper presents a state-of-the-art analysis of the SNP variant and regulatory hot spots associated with quantitative traits. eLife reviewers about Krishnan et al. (2022).
No more accept/reject decisions after peer review: Since the start of this year, eLife is focusing on public reviews and assessments of preprints.

The role of glutamine metabolism in stem cell fate:
New #ReviewedPreprint by @michaeljxiao et al. explores the role of the metabolic sensory kinase PASK in the control of muscle stem cell differentiation.

ALT Microscopy image of a cross-section of regenerating mouse leg muscle. The matrix surrounding the muscle cells is stained green for the protein laminin. DNA in the muscle fiber nuclei is stained blue. Muscle-specific stem cells, nestled alongside the muscle fibers, are stained pinkish-red for Pax7.
