Key finding #3: We uncover a novel internal TM in E1, which is packed closely with the canonical C-terminal E1 and E2 TMs. suggesting that the primary fusion peptide is not in E1.
Key finding #2: The homodimer (2 x E1/E2) has a highly conserved hydrophobic E2 interface of approx. 1200 Ų, which looks (a little) like a figure eight.
