The only reason I got into the UFC was the structure that arrived during the ESPN era, giving the sport a “league feel” - on a platform that was far more recognizable.
Until that point, I didn’t even know the UFC had Fight Nights, a ranking system, etc. - I thought they just put on PPV events at random.
Not offering Farid Basharat, who is 16-0 overall and 7-0 in the UFC, a new contract because he lacks “flair” is the dumbest course of action I’ve ever seen.
If you boast being the industry standard in MMA, with the intention of finding the best fighter on earth in each weight class, how can you possibly justify not re-signing an undefeated prospect who has displayed nothing but dominance?
We’ve entirely lost the plot. So dumb.
Sign Muhammad Mokaev. Re-sign Daniel Marcos. Re-sign Farid Basharat.

UFC 331 in 28 minutes & 47 seconds…
-Joshua Van vs Alexandre Pantoja II was the only acceptable way forward at 125.
-Tai Tuivasa could lose 100 consecutive fights & I would still love him.
-Arman Tsarukyan is the best 155er on planet earth in September of ‘26.

That’s my favorite fighter 🌹
Ilia Topuria appears to be leaving behind the ultra-confident mindset we’ve seen throughout his career as he heads into his return fight 👀
“I do not want to come back to erase a defeat. I cannot erase it, and I do not want to. It is part of me. I want to return because I still want to discover how far I can go, because the fire is still there, because I still love the path, and because now I return with something I did not have before: the experience of having fallen.
I do not want anyone to see me as a man who never falls, because that would be a lie. I want them to see a man who can be knocked to the ground and who keeps making the same decision: to get back up.
I do not know what my next fight will look like, and I cannot promise any result. But I can promise something that depends entirely on me: you will not see me stop trying.”
