Got a question your team's been arguing about? Stop arguing. Ask 1,000 customers shaped from your real data. Ten minutes. preferencesai.io

Five weeks in. Three things I didn't understand before launching: 1. Customers don't want simulations. They want certainty. 2. Speed compounds in ways quality doesn't. 3. The wrong question generates a perfectly useful answer. Building for #3 now.

Pattern I'm seeing in customer accounts: Week 1: "I'm using this to validate the next feature." Week 4: "I'm using this before every roadmap meeting." Week 8: "I'm using this before I open Notion." The order of operations changed.

Before PreferencesAI, product meetings had two camps. People who'd talked to customers and people who hadn't. Now everyone has talked to customers. The argument is about what to do with the answers.

The questions that change companies don't sound like research questions. They sound like negotiations. "If we add this feature, would you give up that one?"

We ran this for a team last week: "Would you give up integrations to get our pricing cut in half?" 73% said yes. They were terrified to ship a stripped-down plan. Now they're shipping it Monday.

Stop running "do customers like X" simulations. Customers say they like everything when you ask nicely. Run "would you trade Y for X" instead. Tradeoffs reveal preferences. "Like" reveals nothing.

Honest admission: I still have meetings where I disagree with the simulation results. Every time, the simulation has been right. Trusting the data over your gut is a learned skill, not a default.
