Polymarket is moving to Protocol V2.
Polymarket is rolling out Protocol V2, a behind-the-scenes upgrade to how its markets and data work. New markets are expected to switch over around November 2.
For Predicade users, nothing changes. Your account, positions, balances, and history stay exactly as they are, and the terminal works the same way it does today. We're handling the migration on our side, so there's nothing you need to do.
If a one-time approval is ever needed, you'll see a simple prompt in the app. Just tap to confirm and keep trading.

5-minute markets will use a 30-second average, while 15-minute and 4-hour markets will use a 60-second average.
Basically, instead of resolving a market using the price at one exact moment, Polymarket will look at the average price over a short window.
So if BTC briefly wicks above the price to beat at the cutoff but spends most of that window below it, the wick alone shouldn’t decide the outcome.
Resolutions should depend less on one random tick, although it will probably change how people trade the final minute quite a bit.
Be careful with your trades, make sure to disable your bots/rebuild it in time.

To protect market integrity in our crypto up/down markets, we're updating how these markets resolve.
What's changing: Starting August 7th at 12 am UTC, affected markets will no longer resolve based on a single snapshot-in-time price. Instead, resolution will use a time-weighted average price (TWAP), with the averaging window scaled to the length of the market (detailed below).
Liquidity rewards: To support liquidity through this transition, we're adding $1M in liquidity rewards across all impacted markets through the month of August.
Market Details:
- All crypto 5 min markets: 30 second TWAP
- All crypto 15 min markets: 60 second TWAP
- All crypto 4 hour markets: 60 second TWAP
Developer access: Chainlink TWAP testnet feeds are available now. Mainnet feeds and Polymarket RTDS delivery are scheduled to launch on August 4, 2026. At launch, developers can consume TWAP prices directly through Chainlink Data Streams or through Polymarket’s public Real-Time Data Streaming WebSocket.
