Okay apparently this clip is why WLC is being talked about atm. Listen, I don't know if ANY of my followers care about this and I recognize that this topic is WAY above my ability to actually articulate here, but I don't think Proestia is framing the issue fairly. WLC rejects eternal generation because he believes it interferes with the aseity of the Son. He's not denying the divinity of Christ, in fact he's trying to articulate how, in his view, eternal generation seems to contradict the divine essence of Christ. Which is a lot more nuance than Protestia is giving. And look and I don't think I agree and I don't really like coming to the defense of WLC (who I have issues with) and I certainly didn't like his appeal to the consensus of NT scholars (lol, really?!) But the below tweet still feels like it's in bad faith. 🤷‍♂️
William Lane Craig disavows the Nicene Creed: "I do not believe or confess that the Son is eternally begotten from the Father in his divine nature."

William Lane Craig gets to judgment after death: “Hey WLC, I know you affirmed the Trinity, the sinless life, sacrificial death, physical resurrection, enthronement, and future return of Jesus, but…you said you didn’t see evidence of the eternal generation of the Son…too bad”

Western Christians tend to get the concept of sin wrong…or at least their understanding is incomplete 👀

This book is one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had when reading, and I need to talk to more people about it, because it deserves every accolade it has received, and you need to read it ASAP, and…

This book makes Lonesome Dove (my favorite book this year) look like a feminist children’s book. 🤣

Unfettered access and use of generative AI WILL create a market where ease dominates decision making, and not the process of creating, artistic talent, or the human experience of collaboration.

Housing is a basic need and treating it primarily as an investment leads to some very bad policy outcomes. Trump is hardly the first to do that; he’s just saying the quiet part out loud.
Trump: I don't want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up

Christians…why? There is SO MUCH good Christian metalcore to listen to that wasn’t created using AI. The process of learning, growing, and executing art glorifies God, as it is us bearing His image. Generative AI says “give me a shortcut to creation”.

Steven Bartlett, host of the podcast, The Diary of a CEO, released an interview with Christian apologist, John Lennox, this week, and his closing comments to him were fascinating: "One of the most compelling arguments for God that you've presented (and your way of seeing the world and being) is not actually necessarily anything you've written in your books or not not necessarily anything you've said. It is actually you. You have a certain peace and contentment that I rarely see in people that I interview, but I often see, and I've almost always seen, in the Christians that I've interviewed, and this is a interesting phenomenon for me...it seems to be a trend that a lot of the Christian apologists that I've interviewed have that anchoring that so many of us are looking for." What a great witness. Link to interview below
