Any increase in these early childhood budget lines is a win for providers, families, and the kids who rely on high‑quality care. Support is growing and advocacy is working!
While we’re grateful for the funding included in this year’s budget, there’s still progress to be made. Hundreds of eligible Pennsylvania children are still not receiving Pre‑K Counts services. We have to do better by them.
A $1.043M boost to Head Start may be modest, but it matters. This funding will allow programs to continue providing high‑quality early learning and support the workforce that makes it possible.

An investment in Pre-K Counts teachers means stability for kids. More support for educators leads to stronger classrooms, better resources, and more consistent, high-quality early learning experiences for children.
