Indians think America magically became the greatest nation in the world - they showed up yesterday , stole our jobs through fraud, scams reduced wages, and fake diplomas and now America is turning to absolute shit just like the hell hole they already ruined. Yet they are totally delusional— 🤯

Long story short, this is BS.
Landslides / avalanches in Nepal have happened for tens of millions of years. In fact, floods associated with landslides are how the V-shaped valleys in the region were carved out millions of years ago at pre-industrial atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) concentrations.
The Himalaya is an exceptionally steep and tectonically active mountain range where earthquakes trigger landslides, avalanches, and glacier collapses fairly regularly. The Google Earth satellite image I pulled up shows this well.
Although an earthquake likely did not trigger the devastating landslide the other day, moderate earthquakes occur often due to plate tectonic movement lifting the Himalaya upward driving India into the Asian continent, and it is likely earthquakes in recent years and months helped set the stage for this.
Frequent seismic shaking in alpine areas can fracture glaciers by creating crevasses, unstable blocks of ice called “seracs,” and hanging ice.
🔗 nhess.copernicus.org/article…
The north face of the Himalaya in the Langtang Valley is characterized by steep slopes that are conducive for “hanging glaciers” (a type of glacier that starts high on a steep mountain wall and stops abruptly, usually at a cliff edge). These hanging glaciers are far more susceptible to destabilization and often produce avalanches when ice is knocked loose. Jim Steele (@JimSteeleSkepti) wrote a nice post about the geology behind this; I recommend giving it a read.
Although warming and surface melt can affect glacier stability, basal conditions are largely controlled by geothermal heat flux, friction, pressure, and bedrock geography.
And while there aren’t any paleoclimate temperature reconstructions in the exact area the recent disaster unfolded, there is evidence that both the Himalaya and Tibetan Plateau were warmer throughout much of the early-to-mid Holocene than they are today (e.g., Chen et al, 2020; Feng et al., 2022), which suggests that glaciers in the region may have also been smaller.

Climate change is real, yes. It always has changed and always will, and I don’t deny that at least some modern warming is due to carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions.
But glaciers are not a permanent fixture of our environment and we need to quit pretending that they are. Glaciers will always be growing or receding; they are not supposed to stay static over time.
Pretending so is a fool’s errand.

🚨 A "BIG MOMENT FOR OUR COUNTRY."
Good morning to the millions of everyday Brits waking up to a new digital prison.
Keir Starmer has just officially announced his blanket ban on social media for teenagers!
He literally stood at a podium, rambled on about his childhood in the 1970s, and claimed he is doing this to keep your kids safe. 🤡
You honestly have to laugh at the sheer delusion.
He completely refuses to protect our actual streets from violent criminals, but he is completely obsessed with policing your family's phones.
Do not be fooled for a single second!
To enforce this ban, every single adult in Britain will now be forced to upload a passport or digital ID just to browse the web!
This is not about child safety. It is a massive Trojan horse for total state surveillance.
RT if you see right through this scam and refuse to let the Labour elite control us! 🇬🇧🔥

Everyone's fighting about Achilles again.
Whatever side you're on, most of the takes are flattening him into a meme. Let me remind you who he actually was.
Achilles was raised by Chiron, the wisest of the centaurs, who taught him medicine, music, and philosophy alongside war. He could heal wounds and play the lyre. He was never just a killer.
His mother, the sea goddess Thetis, knew the prophecy. He could live a long, peaceful life at home in obscurity, or die young at Troy and be remembered forever.
He chose Troy. Knowing.
When his best friend Patroclus was killed wearing his armor, Achilles' grief broke him. He tore his face. He poured ashes on his head. He refused to eat. Homer gives him the most devastating mourning scene in Western literature, and then Thetis appears and confirms it: if you go back to kill Hector, you will die soon after.
He went back anyway.
But here's the scene people forget, the one classicists call the moral heart of the Iliad.
After killing Hector and dragging his body around the walls of Troy, Achilles is visited at midnight, alone in his tent, by Hector's elderly father, King Priam. Priam, the father of the man Achilles killed, kneels and kisses "the terrible, man-slaying hands that had killed so many of his sons."
And Achilles weeps. They weep together. He lifts the old king up, feeds him, gives him a bed for the night, and returns Hector's body for burial with full honors. He even pauses the war so the Trojans can mourn.
That's how the Iliad ends. Not a duel. Not a sack. An act of mercy between two grieving men.
This is why, six centuries later, Alexander the Great sailed to Troy, anointed himself with oil, ran a footrace around Achilles' tomb, and slept every night with a dagger and a copy of the Iliad under his pillow.
This is why the Greek word for hero, hērōs, was practically synonymous with his name.
He chose to die for his friend. He wept with his enemy's father. He's been a hero for 2,700 years for a reason.

Anyone who claims asylum and then travels back to the country they supposedly fled should be instantly and permanently disqualified. If the country is safe enough for a holiday, it is safe enough to stay in. It’s almost unbelievable that this even has to be said.

On this day in 1847, General Winfield Scott captured Veracruz during the Mexican-American War.
After a 20 day siege including gunboat bombardments, they surrendered, setting the state for a full-scale invasion of Mexico.
During the Civil War, Lincoln asked Scott why he had captured Mexico City so quickly with a small force, while Union armies struggled against Richmond.
Scott: "The men who took us into Mexico City are the same men who are keeping us out of Richmond."

Megan Rapinoe, and almost all of the left-wing media members who cried about “respecting women” after Team USA men’s hockey won gold, have said NOTHING about the courageous Iranian women’s soccer team, who refused to sing the Islamic Republic’s national anthem ahead of an Asian Cup match in Australia…
They’ve said NOTHING as the women have had to receive asylum in Australia because Iranian state television branded them “wartime traitors” & received other terrible threats.
The selective outrage from these left-wing political hacks is telling.

Absolutely everyone has had enough of the Ukranazis.
Ukrainian athletes in Milan were placed as far away as possible from other participants. According to reports attributed to the Canadian TV channel, Ukrainian athletes at the Olympics were deliberately accommodated separately from others. This decision was reportedly made because Ukrainian athletes behaved inappropriately and caused conflicts with other athletes at the previous Olympic Games in Paris.
At the request of delegations from other countries, the Ukrainians were isolated from the rest of the participants.
