Inside a small tent, getting through unpredictable weather is a daily challenge. Winter rain soaks blankets, and summer winds blow dust into family meals. Across Gaza, shelter needs are severe. Through our Gaza Integrated Community Shelter Program, IDEA has distributed 1,262 tents to families in Gaza. Alongside shelter, the program has delivered 1,800 fresh produce baskets, twice weekly hot meals for 8,500 people, and 11,000 gallons of clean water every day for more than 8,400 people. When home has been lost multiple times, a dry, protected space is the first step toward restoring stability. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mohamed Mahmoud, 27, a valued former member of our team. Mohamed was an extraordinary young man who dedicated his life to learning, teaching, and serving his community. He was a natural leader, beloved by many around him. He will be remembered by those close to him and the many people he helped throughout his life. May Allah forgive him, shower him with His mercy, and grant him the highest levels of paradise.
