"I've spent my whole life in the wizarding world, but... I used to think I had spent all the magic of my life the very night I first met your mother."
Harry found her with a speed incomparable to any moment in his life.
In malfoyd's sweat-drenched, exhausted embrace rested a treasure worth more than anything in the world.
"It's a daughter, Potter."
In Harry's eyes, two jewels were shining: the child to whom he would dedicate his entire life, and the beautiful girl who had already sworn to give him everything she was.
"Her hair is blonde. She takes after her mother."
At those words, she smiled through her exhaustion and replied,
"Her eyes take after you."
The baby was lovely, but Harry could only feel a deep sense of heartache, looking at malfoyd's tired, thin face from all she had been through.
Pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead, Harry proudly took in both her and their child within a single gaze.
"I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for every single drop of sweat you shed and every hardship you endured. Even now, you look far more dazzling and beautiful to me than when I first fell in love with you."
She smiled with a mixture of contentment and playful teasing, looking up at him warmly.
"Stupid Potter, you should say something sweet to the baby, too."
Chuckling at her words, Harry locked eyes with his child and continued with a tender voice.
"Love has always been the only thing that saved me. Every single happiness in my life, more miraculous than any magic, was given to me by your mother."
The child gazed steadily at Harry, as if she truly understood his words.
Gently wrapping his hand around the baby's tiny, delicate fingers, Harry spoke on with a voice full of love, his eyes shimmering with tears.
"Even if the world were to end today, the one and only perfect happy ending of my life is this very moment. I've spent my whole life in the wizarding world, but... I used to think I had spent all the magic of my life the very night I first met your mother."
Harry raised his head to gaze deeply into the girl shining more brilliantly than anything else in the world, despite her exhaustion.
"But I was wrong. The true miracle is beginning right now, alongside both of you."
Harry's voice trembled softly.
"All the magic that saved me was ultimately you, and now that magic rests in my arms with two eyes that mirror ours. Thank you, my everything... I will devote the rest of my life to loving both of you forever."

“AVADA-“ she hesitated, for just a moment.
“Dracaena, Dracaena, you are not a killer.” The last words Albus Dumbledore spoke to her echoed in her mind… he was right. Dracaena Malfoy was not a killer. Potter would hate her if she was…”
Not very confident in my writing abilities, and as I don’t have the books on hand, I based this on the movie scene.
But please Enjoy.
“HARRY POTTER… IS DEAD!”
Luna grabbed her wrist to stop her from rushing towards Hagrid. Dracaena could barely stop herself from crying out. Her mind still denying that the limp body the half-giant was carrying was that of the boy she loved. The Death Eaters laughed at the assembly of students, learning that their best hope was dead. “And now… it’s time to put your faith… in me…” the Dark Lord declared. “Come forth and join us… or die…”
Only two did were not laughing. “Dracaena…” her father called out in an almost whisper that cut across the silent courtyard. The rest of the students turned toward her, as her father called out again, extending his hand. “Dracaena… come… please.” her mother called.
Dracaena took a step forward, and Luna’s grip on her tightened. “Luna… let go… please.” She turned toward her friend, Luna’s grip released as their eyes met. “Thank you Luna, for everything.” She said softly as she walked toward the Death Eaters.
“Ah… well done Dracaena well done…” the Dark Lord said as she approached him. Her skin crawling as he… it embraced her. “I’m sure we can make up for your… past failings” it whispered to her as she was released.
She finally finished her walk across the courtyard and met her parents, they were speaking to her, but she couldn’t listen. Her eyes were glued to the body Hagrid carried, the cold dead form of Harry Potter, the Boy she loved.
She choked back a sob, but the tears began to flow. She gripped her wand tight, tighter than she ever had before, and just as the Dark Lord began speaking to the crowd… she pointed it at the Dark Lord.
“AVADA-“ she hesitated, for just a moment.
“Dracaena, Dracaena, you are not a killer.” The last words Albus Dumbledore spoke to her echoed in her mind… he was right. Dracaena Malfoy was not a killer. Potter would hate her if she was…
“Oh… how disappointing…” the dark lord had turned towards her and raised his wand. Dracaena closed her eyes, but a ghost of a smile appeared on her face. She knew when she opened her eyes she would get to see him, smiling back at her. “I’m sorry for being such a coward everyone…” she thought.
“Avada Kedavra”
“NO!” Something hit Dracaena and she was thrown to the ground hard, her wand clattering across the stone floor. She heard a loud thump, then a scream… her mothers scream. Dracaena opened her eyes and saw the lifeless body of Lucius Malfoy on the ground between her and the Dark Lord.

"Avada Kedavra!"
Voldemort howled at the top of his lungs as the spell shot towards Harry, still struggling to stand. Green tendrils snaked through the air, the withered fingers of death were reaching for him, like a fruit ripe for the picking. The Elder Wand let out an deep and ominous groan. It sounded as if it was crying out in starvation, eager to gorge on the life of another wizard, and in the hands of Voldemort it seemed like it would soon feast.
House Slytherin, whose animal crest is the serpent, prides itself on producing wizards who are cunning, ambitious, resourceful, and shrewd. Salazar Slytherin told the Sorting Hat that each member of his house should possess such qualities; that self preservation rises above all. Perhaps this was what Lucius and Narcissa were trying to embody as they attempted to make their escape; and why Tom Riddle—now Voldemort—was so infatuated with Immortality. These were qualities that Dracaena held close to her heart as she grew up in the halls and classrooms of Hogwarts.
Seven years she had spent being taught that she was on the right path, that no one else mattered.
Now she found herself racing to block the path of a killing spell.
As she launched herself towards Harry, time seemed to slow to a crawl. The green sparks of magic kicked up dust that floated like the first snowfall. In this brief eternity, Dracaena begged to the whoever might be listening that if even if by a fraction of a second, she would be able to beat the spell and save Harry's life, even in exchange for hers.
Dracaena and Harry crashed into a pile of rubble as the Avada Kedavra cracked the ground where they had once been. Her fingers had just touched the loose threads of Harry's clothes as she tried to disapparate with him in tow. Both let out a gasp as the impact knocked the air out of them. The crash was jarring, but it jolted Harry awake. He scrambled to find the wand he had taken from Dracaena at the Malfoy Manor. Instead, he found a growing pool of blood on the broken cobblestone floor.
Dracaena staggered to her feet, her mind a rolling haze. The world spun around her as blood poured out of the gash where part of her shoulder had once been; she got splinched. She swung around to look at Harry: he was disheveled, covered in soot and dried blood, but otherwise he didn't seem to be hurt. That was all that mattered, she gave a weak smile as he looked up at her before turing to face Voldemort, lazily raising her wand in his direction.
5/maybe I can draw a cover like a little booklet lol

Few students at Hogwarts were familiar with charms of flight, or speed, most never made it past the Leviosa spell, fewer still were the students who knew how to apparate. The act of apparition required one to have seen the destinaton, or have been there phyisically. It was incredibly difficult, and required determination, and deliberate focus, usually requiring years of mastery over the magic arts. Thus, only older or more gifted wizards were able to do so with ease. For the average student, it would have been impossible, or they would have splinched; Dracaena, however, was a wizard of no small talent.
A plume of smoke raced across the battlefield that was now Hogwarts. Weaving through bodies and bolts of magic, searching the grounds for Harry. Dracaena stopped at every hall and room that she could, doing battle along the way. In all her time here, she cared little for the other students.
Yet now, as war rained down on her world she found herself throwing out spells in the defense of people she would have paid no mind on any given day. Harry had changed her; a spoiled girl raised in nobility, willing to step on anyone and everyone to get ahead. She was haughty and selfish beyond belief, and yet he saw through the bravado, past her facade, and weasled his way into her heart of hearts.
When everyone shied away from her, he stood his ground. Harry didn't see a Malfoy, he saw a girl so engrossed in pleasing her family, one who had no care for the color of life, and showed her love. She had felt like an automaton, void of emotion and undeserving of any comfort, and Harry changed that. The buring in her chest as she spotted him locked in combat with the dark lord proved that what he did for her worked.
Dracaena watched as they apparated and rocketed across the school again, crashing into the pavement of the couryard where they had started. Following closely behind, saw voldemort stumble to his feet almost immediately, but Harry was struggling to prop himself up.
"Harry Potter...for too long you have been a thorn in my side" He started.
Harry still was struggling to stand.
"I, am master of the elder wand. I hold sway over magic, over life itself, even over death.
Twice now, have I failed to kill you.
There will not be a third."
He strode toward Harry, shakily at first but as he drew nearer, his footsteps became sure.
"I am a god!" He yelled,
"You are but a fly about me! A nuisance! And today I will end your ceaseless buzzing!"
Voldemort raised the Elder Wand and it faintly began to glow the sickly green of the Killing Curse."

*The following is my interpretation of Harry and Draceana(Malfoid)'s wedding. Far warning, I took this one as my chance to be a total sap and cranked the sugar levels to 15. You may die.*
Never had Harry been so nervous.
After all he’d been through, he’d thought that this would be simple to face in comparison. Yet, standing at the end of the aisle, his future having yet to make her entrance, he could feel his heart doing its best to break out of his chest. So desperately was he looking for something to distract himself that he latched onto the first thing that he heard. A piano, playing the tune of a song they danced to at a ball ages ago, and for a moment he could let himself get lost in that memory. The smile she had then, one that she’d never shown him before, was one that she gave him almost everyday now, yet it still melted him just as it did that night. He could feel himself floating, even with feet firmly planted in the ground, and given the snickering of Ron behind him, it was clear his feeling wasn’t subtle. Neville, Seamus, and Dean joined in, their collective laugh contagious enough to spread to the Weasleys who were in the front row on Harry’s side.
The sound pulled Harry back to the ground, but rather than scowl, he found some comfort in it. The sobs added some confusion, but as he turned to them, he understood. Hagrid stood off to the side of the Weaseleys, in front of a large chair that had been purposely moved to the venue just for him. He was always a soft heart, it was his greatest strength, what had endeared the man to Harry when he came barging into the Dursley’s house at what felt like a lifetime ago. At least it was tears of joy, though Harry could not bear to look at them for too long, lest he join the man in his display.
As he turned away, he paused for a moment on Dudley, who stood right behind Mr. Weasley. Harry had sent an invitation to his foster family out of courtesy, never expecting anyone to arrive, but his cousin reached back out, and they began to talk. Old memories were tough to get through, but some measure of reconciliation had come about from their talks. The smile and thumbs up from Dudley gave Harry a vision at what Vernon would have been like if he was slimmer and truly jolly, and that gave the groom an odd comfort that he never saw coming, but took all the same.
Narcissa Malfoy stood in the front row, opposite the Weasleys and the aisle seat next to hers was empty. She carried herself with her usual refined air, though the slight redness under her eyes had told Harry she’d shed the tears for this moment in private… for now, at least. Those who stood in the rows behind her, he was only vaguely familiar with from the functions that he’d been dragged to, but closer to the one he was waiting for. The same could be said in reverse about the ones who gathered behind the Weasleys. Still, he was grateful that he had requested a small wedding, which had agreed upon as the best option. No doubt an open venue would result in swarms of the press, but the back of the Malfoy’s Manor was both private and beautiful enough to serve as the perfect location.
Honestly, he had thought the place was going to be more dreary than what he saw now, given the patriarchs usual demeanor. Yet, with the sun clear above them and the sky a vibrant blue, their garden had been turned into an isolated wonderland of faerie lights, trellises lined with roses red, white, and even green, and ribbons of silver that weaved throughout the venue. There were more decorations than just that, but just trying to process it all was making his head start to spin again. He looked back across from him, finding familiar faces again.
Pansy Parkinson stood as the maid-of-honor, adorned in a dress of green that had highlights of red, like the rest of the bridesmaids did. She had reconnected with the bride shortly after graduation, reforming their friendship under shared tears and late nights of conversation. A wry smirk was on her face upon taking in Harry’s nearly trembling demeanor, but he wasn’t about to entertain her in that regard any more than he could. What still surprised him were those that stood behind her. Hermione, Luna, and Ginny were all smiles, waving at their husbands from across the aisle. Logic told him that this sight was an impossibility, but the earnest grins on their faces as they gave him a small wave eased his shoulders further. Professor McGonagall was the officiant of today’s union, the tale of Hogwarts’s own headmistress bullying the Ministry into granting her the certification still making Harry snort just from thinking about it. She stood prim and proper, like always, but the smile on her wizened face never left since she arrived. That was the final piece he needed to calm down.
Only to fall apart when the music changed.
A bright tune drifted through the venue upon Draceana’s entrance. Harry couldn’t find the words to describe her, even in his mind. All he knew was the sight of her took his breath away and nearly robbed the strength from his legs. Her dress was white, but sheened with silver, and was still in the simple, elegant style that she always preferred. A thin veil covered her face, he knew the moment it was lifted, he would have to keep himself from falling over. In her arm was a bouquet of the same roses that decorated the place around them, and in the other was Lucius, posture upright and gaze focused ahead. He wasn’t staring at Harry directly, but he could feel the father’s attention, no doubt to see if the man waiting for Draceana was going to make a mess of himself. Harry refused to give him the satisfaction of having such a memory, and straightened his back.
Their procession down the aisle was deliberate, a pace that almost seemed chosen purposefully to drive Harry mad. He wanted nothing else but to rush down and kiss her there, but he contained himself, just barely. The punch on his shoulder from Ron didn’t help matters, and he knew his best man did that on purpose. When Draceana arrived at the front of the aisle, Lucious lifted her veil. Harry didn’t think she would get more beautiful, yet his prediction from earlier proved to be true. She looked at her father with a bright smile, and in a break from decorum, gave him a hug before stepping away and in front of her maid-of-honor, who flashed her a giddy grin upon taking her bouquet. Their eyes met, and he could see the tears swell in hers immediately. His own vision started to blur, but he blinked that away.
McGonagall raised her hand to them all, and the music drifted to silence. “We are gathered here today to celebrate a union most unique, but one that is every bit as wonderful. I shall not dally and keep these two from their moment, but I ask that they take a moment to speak their vows.”
Expectant stares fell upon Harry, but the weight of them melted away as he looked at Draceana. He was never much for words, but in this case, he found them. “I stand before a woman who, in those early years we knew each other, I never would have thought would be here in front me, but now know could be the only one I look upon. Ever since that Christmas night, your strength has always been with me, even when I was a fool who did not look when he should have.”
Draceana’s arms began to tremble, and the tears in her eyes were on the verge of falling.
Harry steadied his voice, finding only mild success. “I vow to give you that same strength, and more beyond that, to be the one that stands at your side through all the storms and trials that follow, for with your hand in mine, they will be nothing but a breeze to cool us. I, Harry, take you, Draceana, to be my wedded wife, to walk with and hold for the rest of this life and everything after; for better, for worse, and everything in between, for my heart will be with you, even in death. Always.”
Draceana’s tears fell as she gathered herself with a trembling breath, squeezing her hands together. “You aren’t making this fair… but you never have, have you? There is so much I could say, so much that I have already said, that I could stand here until the sun rises and falls again, but in the end, that which sticks out in my mind most is a name. A name that I have spoken in spite, in mockery, in pain, in suffering, but a name that I said so much more in happiness and bliss, a sweet whisper that I kept to myself for so long to keep me strong.”
Her voice started to crack, and now the tears fell freely down Harry’s face.
“A name that you have chosen to give me, a name that I so desperately wished to take, and now… I will. I, Draceana, take you, Harry, to be my wedded husband, to lean on and support for every breath we share in this life and all the ones after; through the best of days, through the worst, and all that comes between, for our hearts will be intertwined. Always.”
McGonagall cleared her throat and wiped her eyes. “Harry, do you take Draceana to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
He looked Draceana clear in her eyes. “I do.”
“And Draceana, do you take Harry to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
The bride met his gaze. “I do.”
McGonagall waved at the best man. “The rings, Weasely.”
Ron coughed, and a small chuckle rippled through the crowd. “R-right.”
Harry turned to his friend, who placed the rings, simple bands of gold and silver weaved together, into his hands and flashed him a wide grin. He returned the smile and clutched the rings as he turned around, wasting no time to slip one on Draceana’s finger. She was even faster.
McGonagall raised her wand above them and gave it a twirl, showering them in a wave of soft light. “Then, by the power vested in me and all the headmasters before me, do I pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Potter. Harry, you may now ki-”
His lips were already on Draceana’s before the sentence was finished. Laughter and cheers roared around them, but in that moment, there may as well have been nobody else, for all that he wanted was in his hands.
And he knew she thought the same.

"Affectus remotio" Draconia whispered, gritting her teeth and clenching her wand. Waiting, desperately, for something to happen, for something to change. The stack of books around her growing taller by the hour, with titles such as "Basic Hexes for the Busy and Vexed", and "A Compendium of Common Curses and Their Counter-Actions". She had been at it for hours, late into the night, casting counter-curse after counter-curse on herself. Feeling nothing change but her level of anguish.
She hadn't showered or left the library in two days. Her hair was greasy, and the bags under her eyes were heavy. "Stupid Snape. Stupid potions. Stupid magic. Stupid Potter!" Draconia shouted, knocking over one of her stacks of dusty tomes.
"Shh." Instructed a passing ghost, much to her irritation.
"Stupid ghost." she muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose.
She looked a mess, and smelled even worse. Luckily it was several hours past midnight, and the library was completely empty. She had special permission to be out of bed this late of course, from Snape. "Good luck with your research Miss Malfoid, however, I don't suspect you will find the answers you seek in the library." What did he mean by that? Something about the way he said it bothered her. What does it mean? She looked down at her notes, full of hastily scratched spells and their counter curses, references to books that referenced other books, old anecdotes, and rumors of love hexes.
She pulled her hair again, and slammed her fist on the table. If Snape knew what was wrong with her, why wouldn't he tell her? Is this a test of some sort?
As she thought, she absent-mindedly sketched a lightning bolt in her notes.
Suddenly, she knew. Of course. It was unthinkable, but it was the only explanation. Potter used the imperius curse on her. One of the three unforgivable curses, used to control people like a puppet. Probably when she was sleeping, he snuck in and cast it on her, with a subtle enough command that it would go unnoticed. Of course! A spell that dark and that powerful wouldn't be released by simple counter-curses found in the student library.
Draconia was more relieved than angry. Finally, an explanation. Now she just needed to find Potter, get him to release the curse, and tell her father. Finally, something to get that half-blooded creep expelled.
She took out her silver hairbrush, ran it through her platinum hair, and sighed, ready to return to her dorm and get some much needed sleep.
After returning the books to their proper home, she exited the library quietly, smiling to herself. "I'm probably the first witch in history to be relieved to discover she's under the control of the imperius curse", she mused. The castle was unnerving at night, but it was never quiet. The soft roar of the torches in the corridor, the sleepless ghosts floating around, the soft snoring of the living paintings. Though she was apprehensive, at least she wasn't alone.
Alone. The word echoed in her head.
She heard footsteps around the corner in front of her. They were hurried, but light. Someone trying not to be caught. Before she could think, Draconia dove into an alcove nearby, hiding next to a suit of armor who turned to look at her, seemingly confused. She held up a finger to her mouth to quiet the armor, to which it simply shrugged and returned to it's resting position.
Draconia peeped around the corner and saw a Gryffindor robe and untidy black hair speed by. Harry?! What in Merlin's beard is he doing here?
Is he... looking for her? He must be. She gritted her teeth in anger. That creep is up to no good. Probably sneaking around looking for more ways to torment her. Though she was exhausted beyond measure, and yearned for her bed, she decided to follow him.
Harry was going somewhere she had never been before, ducking through hallways and secret doorways. Behind paintings and through dark corridors. Never once did he turn and notice her. How did this oblivious fool manage to cast such a high-level dark curse on her?
Finally, after squeezing into a dark and dusty room, Harry stopped. Draconia ducked down, peeking around a dusty sheet hanging over an abandoned globe to look at him from behind.
He was just standing there, staring at himself in a mirror. What? She continued watching him for minutes, waiting for him to do something, but he just... stood there. Staring at himself.
Draconia couldn't hold it in anymore, and she started laughing.
Harry whipped his head around, wand in hand.
"Malfoid?! What are you doing here? Did you follow me?"
"Honestly Potter, sneaking off to stare at yourself in the mirror? Such vanity!"
"I wasn't... that's not..." Harry stammered, looking away from her shyly.
"That's pathetic, even for you." Draconia giggled, her hair falling forward as she clutched her stomach.
"It's no ordinary mirror, Malfoid," Harry shot back, "It... well... come take a look."
"Sure", she laughed, approaching him. "And what exactly am I supposed to be seeing?"
"What do you mean? Just look in the mirror."
"I am, I don't see anything unusual."
"It's supposed to show you your heart's greatest desire. It's called the Mirror of Erised. Dumbledore told me about it." Harry said, his face turning red.
"Well it seems your mirror is broken, Potter." Draconia giggled, "Because I only see you and me."

Darkness.
He was gone. Gone.
Dracaena had felt a rush of hope mixed with fear when Potter had appeared, stepping into the firelight of the clearing where Lord Voldemort awaited him. The reprieve Voldemort had given the defenders of Hogwarts was nearly run out, and even Voldemort himself, once so certain Harry would arrive, had given up on him. But at the last moment, he appeared. The clearing stood still for a long moment, as even the wind held its breath.
And then, chaos. Dracaena had been dimly aware of Hagrid’s shout, of the exultation of the Death Eaters. But none of that mattered to her. She found his face, his eyes. They were steeled. He had come to die. He was going to do it. To sacrifice himself for everyone else. She watched his eyes flick to hers briefly, filled with a complex mixture of emotion, before his face set like flint once more, his eyes fixed on Lord Voldemort and his destiny.
Potter didn’t waver as Voldemort uttered the curse that ended him. He fell. It should have been a graceful thing, something fitting the end of the Boy Who Lived, the one destined to face the Dark Lord, but it wasn’t. Instead, he collapsed in a heap, the strings of life cut. Dracaena was vaguely aware of the Death Eaters rushing forward, towards Voldemort. Had he fallen as well? No matter, she had eyes only for Potter, even as her vision blurred and heart shattered.
How could this be? Potter always pulled through, he was a walking miracle, something she knew all too well. She’d spent years tormenting him, trying everything she could think of to get him into trouble, and every time he managed to slip his way through, somehow or another coming out ahead. He couldn’t be dead. He couldn’t be! It had to be part of some greater plan. Right? He couldn’t leave her now. Hogwarts needed him. The whole wizarding world needed him.
She needed him.
But no. It was real. She’d heard the curse, seen the tell-tale flash of green light, the life leaving his eyes. A heavy weight sank in Dracaena’s heart. It was over. They had come so far, fought so hard, only to lose at the moment of victory.
Before her, Dracaena noticed Lord Voldemort stirring on the ground. She heard his voice cut through the worrying of the Death Eaters, “That will do.” They backed off, all but Bellatrix, who knelt at his side, even as he rose. “I do not require assistance.” His voice was cold, harsh, as he cut her off. “The boy… Is he dead?” The clearing was silent again. Nobody volunteered. Voldemort flicked his wand, and a spark of magic struck Dracaena’s mother, huddled to her left. She let out a small, involuntary shriek of pain, as Voldemort said, “You. Examine him. Tell me whether he is dead.”
Dracaena’s eyes were too full of tears to see her mother rise, but she wiped them as her mother crossed the clearing to where Potter lay. Was it too late to hope for a miracle? Might her mother find life in him yet? She began leaning forward subconsciously, and felt her father’s hand tighten on her shoulder, steadying her.
Her mother was a long moment in examining Potter, longer than Dracaena thought necessary, her ear at his mouth, hand at his breast. But, then, the words she feared. “He is dead!” Dracaena’s heart fell again, and she felt tears well anew, all while the Death Eaters began to shout and yell in triumph, wands pointed skyward, letting out streaks of red and silver light.
“You see?” Voldemort screeched over the din of celebration. “Harry Potter is dead by my hand, and no man alive can threaten me now! Watch! Crucio!”
“No!” Dracaena gasped, lunging forward, but her father and mother, returned to her side, caught her before she could move. Potter rose in the air, body flopping as he bounced once, twice, thrice.
Lord Voldemort’s red eyes found hers, regarding her with a cool rage. “Quiet, you, and witness the rise of Lord Voldemort. Afterwards, I shall deal with you for your failures.” Then, turning to the crowd, “Now, we go to the castle, and show them what has become of their hero. Who shall drag the body? No... wait...”
The Death Eaters began laughing, and Dracaena could just barely see well enough through watery eyes to see him gesture at Hagrid.
“You carry him. He will be nice and visible in your arms, will he not? Pick up your little friend, Hagrid. And the glasses! Put on his glasses, he must be recognizable!”
Dracaena felt her stomach twist as one of the Death Eaters, she couldn’t tell who through his hood, picked Potter’s glasses from the ground, where they’d fallen when Lord Voldemort had defiled his corpse, and jammed them roughly back on his face. Then Hagrid took him up. He cradled Potter with a gentleness that would seem impossible to any who didn’t know him. Unbidden, memories of time spent with Potter visiting Hagrid came to mind. Dracaena felt a fresh wave of tears, along with shame for having been so cruel to the man for so long. Truly his heart was as large as his frame, and she’d missed it for what? Pride?
She almost laughed as the group began moving. What was pride worth now, so broken as she was? She had tried for too long to straddle both camps, to do as Lord Voldemort asked, while holding onto her heart’s desire, and it had cost her everything. Pride? She would throw it all away just to have him back. Even for just a moment more.
Dracaena’s mother and father guided her forward, following the crowd of Death Eaters. Their fate was bad enough as it was. If they tried to run now, Voldemort would only hunt them down when it was over, and his fury would be all the greater for it. No, they were to die for having failed him so, but better to make it quick, painless, in the wake of his victory, rather than anger him, and so cause him to draw it out, to break them further before their end.
Dracaena felt her parents drag her to a stop, hands still clutched to her shoulders, and she realized that they had made it out of the forest while she’d been deep in reminiscing. Lord Voldemort strode forward, and his voice boomed out, magically enhanced to echo through the castle and over the grounds. “Harry Potter is dead. He was killed as he ran away, trying to save himself while you lay down your lives for him. We bring you his body as proof that your hero is gone.”
Liar! A bolt of rage struck Dracaena, surprising herself as her head snapped up, eyes boring holes in the back of Lord Voldemort’s head. Was it not enough that he kill Potter? That he defile his corpse and parade it around like a trophy? Must he lie as well?
“The battle is won. You have lost half of your fighters. My Death Eaters outnumber you, and the Boy Who Lived is finished. There must be no more war. Anyone who continues to resist, man, woman, or child, will be slaughtered, as will every member of their family. Come out of the castle now, kneel before me, and you shall be spared. Your parents and children, your brothers and sisters will live and be forgiven, and you will join me in the new world we shall build together.”
Dracaena only half heard his speech, her anger burned so brightly, and she didn’t need her parents’ push to continue up towards the castle as Lord Voldemort began his march again. She was going to kill him. It was unreasonable. Who was she? A virtual nobody. A failure. She didn’t even have her wand! How could she possibly kill Lord Voldemort? But reason had been shed in the fires of rage.
The group stopped again, before the front doors of the school. “NO!” The scream of despair cut through Dracaena. McGonagall. Always so collected, reasonable, put together. Dracaena could think of but a few times she had shown negative emotion beyond a steely eye or a compressed mouth. That McGonagall had just screamed in despair, and it pierced through her rage, giving her space to collect herself and observe. She no longer cared if she lived—what was her life without him? But if she wanted her life to mean anything, she couldn’t waste it.
The other panicked cries washed over her as she took in Lord Voldemort. His snake, Nagini, rested over his shoulders, a living scarf. The final Horcrux. Potter himself had confirmed it was the sole remaining one after the diadem was destroyed. Was there something she could do to reach it? Dracaena clenched her teeth, biding her time, waiting for an opportunity.
“SILENCE!” Lord Voldemort’s voice boomed over the screams, quieting them at once. “It is over! Set him down, Hagrid, at my feet, where he belongs!” Tenderly, Hagrid arrayed Potter on the ground, and Dracaena felt her heart ache for him, while wondering if there was some way she could signal him, get his help. “You see? Harry Potter is dead! Do you understand now, deluded ones? He was nothing, ever, but a boy who relied on others to sacrifice themselves for him!”
“He beat you!” Dracaena heard Weasley’s voice break the spell of silence. Lord Voldemort gestured with his wand, attempting to quiet them once more, but someone had broken from the crowd… Neville!? Dracaena had to admit, the boy had proven himself brave enough for Gryffindor in recent years, but she wouldn’t have expected this. She threw off her parents’ grips, ready to join him, but his mad charge was over before it even began. With a loud crack, Lord Voldemort had disarmed him, Neville’s wand sent flying, Neville himself tumbling to the ground.
“And who is this?” he said in a low hiss. “Who has volunteered to demonstrate what happens to those who continue to fight when the battle is lost?”
Dracaena heard a shrill, delighted laugh, even before Lord Voldemort had finished speaking. “It is Neville Longbottom, my Lord!” Bellatrix, of course. “The boy who has been giving the Carrows so much trouble! The son of the Aurors, remember?”
“Ah, yes, I remember.” Lord Voldemort had strode forward, now standing over Neville as he struggled to rise on shaking arms. “But you are pureblood, aren’t you, my brave boy?”
“So what if I am?”
“You show spirit and bravery, and you come of noble stock. You will make a very valuable Death Eater. We need your kind, Neville Longbottom.”
“I’ll join you when hell freezes over! Dumbledore’s army!” Dear brave Neville. Dracaena felt her heart ache for him, as it had for Hagrid. How had she ever looked down on the poor boy? How wrong he had proved her, the first in line to defend Potter’s honor. Before even his best friends. Before even herself.
“Very well.” Voldemort’s voice had gone low and smooth like silk, and Dracaena could only barely hear it from her position at a distance. He was speaking to Neville alone now. “If that is your choice Longbottom, we revert to the original plan. On your head be it.”
He waved his wand and dramatically cried, “There will be no more Sorting at Hogwarts School!” A loud crashing sound drew every eye to a high window of the castle, where a dark object flew through the air and settled over Neville’s head, its floppy brim low over his eyes. The Sorting Hat. “There will be no more Houses. The emblem, shield, and colors of my noble ancestor, Salazar Slytherin, will suffice for all. Won’t they, Neville Longbottom?” He turned to the watching crowd. “A demonstration, for what happens to those foolish enough to continue in their opposition.”
Lord Voldemort flicked his wand in Neville’s direction, and the Sorting Hat burst into flames. Neville’s screams were inhuman, raw. Dracaena had only ever heard their like in those under the effects of the Cruciatus Curse, and she could feel her stomach twisting in knots at the sound. Now was the time though! Lord Voldemort’s attention was entirely on Neville. If Dracaena could just get to Harry to retrieve her wand…
But before she could move, a great uproar split the predawn hush that had only been interrupted by Neville’s screams. It came from the school boundary? It took Dracaena a moment to understand the sound. Reinforcements had arrived! “HAGGER!” Grawp, that giant half-brother of Hagrid’s lumbered around the castle and tackled one of Voldemort’s giants, wrestling it to the ground before it could react. The other joined the fray in time for the pounding of hooves and the twang of bows. Centaurs poured forth from the forest, a volley of arrows raining upon the Death Eaters, who scattered.
Dracaena’s mother waved her wand overhead, casting a shield above her family, deflecting arrows away from them. But Dracaena’s eyes were drawn to Neville, whose screams had changed from those of agony, to ones of exertion. Her gaze landed on him in time to see the Sorting Hat fall from his head, and with a flash of silver and spark of ruby, Neville struck the head from Nagini.
Lord Voldemort screamed in fury, a sound drowned out by the pitch of battle around them. He was vulnerable now! He cast a curse at Neville which, miraculously, deflected. Where had the shield come from?
But, before Dracaena could investigate, Hagrid’s bellow cut through the din. “HARRY! HARRY! WHERE’S HARRY?” Her eyes found the patch of ground where Harry’s body had lain. He was gone! Panic, who could have taken him? Rage, why would they take him, would they desecrate him further? Then, blossoming like the dawn come early, hope. Tears found Dracaena’s eyes once again, but not the tears of grief. “He’s alive,” she whispered. She turned to her parents, eyes wide in a frenzy, “He’s alive! Harry’s alive! We have to find him!”
She turned, hope and courage filling her with equal measure. He was alive! She could find him. She would find him! Where would he go? Where else? After Voldemort, of course. She couldn’t find Harry, he had his Cloak. But she could find Voldemort. Dracaena surged forward, her parents pulled by invisible strings in her wake. He would have gone into the castle, and Dracaena followed, the pull of the crowd making it easy to find her way into the Entrance Hall.
As she crossed through the doors, a hand found her mouth and midsection, pulling her aside, her shriek muffled. “Dracaena, it’s me!” Only then did she realize where she was, what was happening. Potter had pulled her under his Invisibility Cloak with him. He whispered a bit louder to Dracaena’s panicking parents, “I’ve got her. My cloak will keep her hidden from Voldemort’s sight. I can’t protect you as well, so stay away from his path for now.” Then, quieter, to Dracaena alone, “I have to confront him. Only I can defeat him. We don’t have time for a reunion now, I’m afraid.”
And then, before she could speak, before she could protest, before she could insist the two of them leave this madness behind and flee, Potter had placed a guiding arm around her, drawing her into his side, and pulling her with him into the Great Hall after Voldemort. Dracaena could tell that important things were happening, the battle raging around them, but she had eyes only for Potter. His eyes were different than earlier somehow. Calm, despite the ocean of chaos around them, gleaming with determination and purpose. She liked that look. It was good on him.
She realized that he was casting spells periodically, and with an inward laugh was suddenly glad he had her wand. She was so distracted, it wouldn’t have been much use in her hands. They came to a sudden stop, halfway up the Great Hall, and her eyes followed his. On one hand, Voldemort, dueling with McGonagall, Slughorn, and Kingsley. On the other, Bellatrix fighting Granger, the Weasley girl, and Lovegood. She could feel he was torn. He should confront Voldemort, that was where he was needed most. But Dracaena knew his heart was drawn to the girls who were so like sisters to him.
But then, his decision was made for him. “NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!” With a shout of rage Dracaena had never heard the match of, Mrs. Weasley bounded across the hall, shouldering the three girls aside. Bellatrix grinned in twisted amusement, but it quickly faltered, becoming a snarl as the duel proceeded and she was pushed back.
“What will happen to your children when I’ve killed you?” Bellatrix taunted, clearly trying to unnerve Mrs. Weasley. “When Mummy’s gone the same way as poor Freddie?”
“You will never touch our children again!” Mrs. Weasley snarled over Bellatrix’s exhilarated and insane laughter. And then her laughter cut short, her eyes bulged. One of Mrs. Weasley’s curses had pierced her defenses, struck her squarely in the breast above her heart.
As Bellatrix toppled, Dracaena heard Voldemort scream in rage. He was alone, his Death Eaters now routed with the fall of his final and greatest lieutenant. His fury exploded through his wand, sending McGonagall, Slughorn, and Kingsley flying back, clearing the space around him. He directed his wand towards Mrs. Weasley, and Dracaena heard a whisper in her ear. “Stay hidden, stay safe. He wants your life almost as much as he wants mine.”
And then Potter was gone. He slid from the Cloak, careful to keep Dracaena covered, leaving her alone, invisible. Dracaena spotted her mother and father, sidling along the walls. Saw their eyes converge on the spot from which Potter had appeared. Watched their recognition as they knew that she was there.
As Potter emerged, he directed his wand to the space between Lord Voldemort and Mrs. Weasley. “Protego!”
Voldemort spun, his red eyes wide with shock. “There are no more Horcruxes, Tom. It’s just you and me now. Neither can live while the other survives. One of us is about to leave for good.”
“One of us?” Lord Voldemort jeered, but his body was drawn taut, like a cornered snake ready to strike. “You think it will be you, do you? The boy who lived by accident alone, puppeted by Dumbledore’s strings?” Dracaena felt a rush of fear. She had been so focused on the fact that Potter was back, that she hadn’t considered he might not win. But this was no fairy tale, his victory was not guaranteed.
“Accident, was it, when my mother died to save me?” The pair had begun circling, each watching the other for openings. “Accident, when I decided to fight in that graveyard? Accident, that I didn’t fight tonight, and yet survived and returned to fight again?”
“Accidents!” Lord Voldemort screeched. Dracaena had spent enough time around the Dark Lord by now to recognize that he was unnerved by the turn of events. “Mere chance and the fact that you hide beneath the robes of greater men and women, permitting me to kill them for you!”
“You won’t be killing anyone else tonight.” Potter, in contrast to Voldemort, was almost supernaturally calm. He was still guarded, yes, but his movements were easy and assured. Maybe he did have a plan? “Don’t you get it? I was ready to die to stop you from hurting these people-”
“But you did not!”
“I meant to, and that’s what matters. Haven’t you noticed how none of your spells are binding? You can’t touch them anymore.” He shook his head, looking like nothing more than a teacher, disappointed in his student. “You never learn from your mistakes, do you, Riddle?”
“You dare-”
“Yes, I dare. I know things you don’t, Tom Riddle. I know some important things you don’t. Would you like to hear some, before you make another mistake?”
Lord Voldemort didn’t speak at first, merely prowled around the circle opposite Potter, pondering what he might have to say. “Is it love again?” He finally asked in a hiss. “Dumbledore’s favorite solution, which he claimed conquered death. But love didn’t stop him falling from the tower and breaking like old waxwork, did it? Love didn’t prevent me stamping out your Mudblood mother like the cockroach she was, did it?” He gestured around the hall. “And, would you look at that, nobody here seems to love you enough to run forward and protect you from my curse, do they? So what will stop you from dying now when I strike?”
Dracaena moved before she was conscious of choosing to do so, before Voldemort had even finished speaking, and stood at Potter’s side, her arm embracing his waist. “No, Dracaena!” Her mother. Dracaena’s eyes found hers briefly. Beside her mother stood her father, face pale with worry mixed with resignation. He gave her the briefest of nods, and Dracaena, tearing up again, returned their look with a smile before turning back to Lord Voldemort.
“You!” He hissed. Then, addressing Potter again. “You see now the foolishness of love! I would have given you the world as one of my own, Dracaena. Now, instead, you will die!”
Dracaena squeezed Potter tighter. “How can you give me the world, when I have it all right here?”
Lord Voldemort’s face paled with rage, but she had no eye for him anymore. She turned and met Potter’s gaze. His voice was a whisper, for her alone. “You should have stayed safe.”
“I belong here, with you,” Dracaena murmured back.
She saw tears swim in the corners of his eyes as he nodded. He put his left arm over her shoulders, and, taking her wand together, they faced Lord Voldemort as one.
All at once, a red-glow burst lit the enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall above, the dawn breaking at last. Lord Voldemort and Potter sprang into action at the same instant, Dracaena joining her voice to his:
“Avada Kedavra!”
“Expelliarmus!”
Something between them swelled, magic greater than Dracaena had ever felt, overwhelming, yet warm and comforting. A great blaze erupted from her wand, golden flames streaked with crimson, consuming the flash of green which was pale in comparison. The blaze should have been hot, hot enough to leave burns, but instead it felt as refreshing as a summer’s breeze. Lord Voldemort, though, flinched back, fright crossing his red eyes as the flames washed over him. They consumed him entirely, body turning to ash, then dust, swept away on the wind that followed the fire.
The Great Hall was silent, except for the clatter of a wand striking the stone floor.
Dracaena was stunned to silence herself for a long moment. Then, the emotion of the day rushed over her all at once. Fear, despair, rage, hope, joy. She turned to Potter, letting go of her wand. She pounded a balled fist against his chest. “Don’t you ever go and die and leave me again!” She punctuated each word with another punch. “Do you hear me Harry Potter!?”
He gave her that look. That infuriating look he made whenever she was trying to get him to understand something important. “I love you too, Dracaena.”
She opened her mouth to yell at him, to really give him a piece of her mind, but she was stopped when he kissed her. She resisted a moment, as the Great Hall erupted in cheers, indistinct yelling to Dracaena, whose whole world had narrowed to just her and Potter. She melted into his embrace, and when they parted, she whispered, through streaming tears, “Stupid Potter. Kissing me in front of all these people.” Then, even quieter, “I love you too.”

"In the end, just as Voldemort was killed for the first time by a love he could never understand, he is slain for the final time by a love he could never extinguish."
Oh my God, it's fucking peak
The most perfect layout for the story would be:
-Initially rebuffed by harry on the train in book 1, initially she's starstruck and wants harry as a lackey out of vanity
-Over the course of the next several books, she grows a deeper appreciation for him
-Chamber of secrets seeds her admiration, she duels Potter and despite all her snide remarks, she gets humiliated by him. Initially she's upset, but there's a small short scene of her feeling a bit proud that Harry is so skilled.
-Her feelings transform from respect and admiration to a HARD crush during the Yule ball, both of them get left behind by their dates, and after initial snide remarks and jabs, they dance together, just a single short dance. However, it's only later that night that she realizes why her heart flutters when she sees his face.
-Half-Blood prince is when Harry begins to fall for her, during his observations of her movements with the Marauder's Map. What initially is him cynically observing someone he sees as an enemy becomes concern as he realizes how over the last year she's become a wreck. No longer the stunning and confident girl she used to be, she's tired, depressed, and Harry tries to help. It's that exact concern that blinds him to the fact that she's become a Death Eater, and it dooms Dumbledore.
-The bathroom scene is where it becomes tragic. Harry sees her as what she has truly become but been suppressing when she's at Hogwarts: A death eater. Forced to work for the man who killed HIS FAMILY. Threatened with her life and the life of her own parents if she doesn't kill his own beloved mentor. She loses the fight, she nearly dies, and the whole time afterwards she wishes she did because then at least she would get away from what she has become.
-The biggest deviation from the original story would be that after the rescue in the room of requirement, she doesn't disappear from the story. Instead, Voldemort keeps her around with the desire to groom her into part of the next generation of Death Eater, as his right hand. He forces her to do terrible things, and all the while she hates herself for being too weak, too cowardly to fight back. However, it's only when Harry arrives during the seige of Hogwarts that she recognizes that she has to make a choice. She witnesses Voldemort laying into Harry, winning the duel, and chooses to break the Death Eater ranks and turn her wand on her master.
-She confesses her love for Harry, and he reciprocates those same feelings for her. They both carry baggage, a pile of mistakes and unresolved issues, but they understand and care about each other in a way nobody can possibly hope to understand, they are opposite sides of the same coin. Their pure, authentic, mutual love burns Voldemort like nothing else, a familiar pain that terrifies him.
In the end, just as Voldemort was killed for the first time by a love he could never understand, he is slain for the final time by a love he could never extinguish.

"Se supone que te muestra el mayor deseo de tu corazón. Se llama el Espejo de Erised. Dumbledore me habló de él". Harry dijo, con la cara poniéndose roja. "Parece que tu espejo está roto, Potter". Draconia soltó una risita. "Porque solo veo a ti y a mí".
Estoy así

Hello, world.
I’m a scenario writer from Japan.
Right now, I’m writing my own Harry Potter fanfiction, following the original story while reimagining Draco Malfoy as a girl — Lyra Malfoy.
In my mind, the story has already grown into something much bigger than a romance. Nine different themes, including love, are moving alongside each other, shaping the relationship between Lyra and Harry all the way to the final chapters.
(Thinking through everything surrounding the Sectumsempra incident was honestly painful for me.)
At the moment, I’ve finished the first draft through Chamber of Secrets.
Every day, I see wonderful illustrations, stories, ideas, and beautiful moments shared here on X.
I’m genuinely happy to be here among all of you, creating something of my own alongside so many people who love these characters and this world.
Thank you.
Lucius:
"My congratulations, Potter, and welcome to my manor."
"Please, make yourself comfortable."
"But still, Dracaena..."
"Could you stop hugging Harry for a moment?"
"Didn't you hate him?"
Malfoid:
"I DO HATE HIM!"
"THIS MEANS NOTHING!"
"I'M ONLY HUGGING HIM BECAUSE..."
"BECAUSE HE LOOKED COLD!"
"THAT'S ALL!"
Lucius:
"You're currently holding him with both arms."
Malfoid:
"SO?!"
"IT'S COLD IN HERE!"
Lucius:
"Dracaena, you are standing directly beside a fireplace."
Malfoid:
"..."
"SHUT UP, FATHER!"
Harry:
"She hasn't let go of me for ten minutes."
Malfoid:
"BECAUSE YOU'RE USELESS!"
"SOMEONE HAS TO KEEP YOU FROM DOING SOMETHING STUPID!"
Lucius:
"Of course."
Malfoid:
"AND DON'T YOU DARE THINK THIS MEANS I LIKE HIM!"
Harry:
"Okay."
Malfoid:
"..."
"WHY DID YOU SAY OKAY SO CASUALLY?!"
Lucius:
"I see."
"You hate him."
Malfoid:
"YES!"
Lucius:
"While hugging him."
Malfoid:
"YES!"
Lucius:
"Very convincing."
Malfoid:
"FATHER!"
"SHUT UP!"
