Ziggybooks Comics & Stuff

@PowerPackNation

Looking to talk Image, Valiant, Dark Horse, etc. Self-pub stuff or basically indie books of any era. 80s/90s Marvel and DC is also cool. And also Power Pack!

When space on the shelf is just as important as what's inside the book, you gotta upgrade your 7 premiere hardcovers to 1 omnibus!

This is the artwork @MadCaveStudios announced their Flash Gordon book with, leading me to believe (and get very excited over) that the comic would be based on the movie version. Reading the FCBD issue I see that's not at all the case. Gotta admit I'm very disappointed.

Was anyone else underwhelmed by the amount of blood in the supposedly extra bloody Blood Hunt Red Band Edition?

Because comics were the only way to get more of these characters and stories. If you saw the cartoon and wanted more X-Men, your choice was comics. Now, your choice is movies, more movies, games, multiple cartoons, and you can rewatch them all all you want.

A question. I used to ask people what led them to try their first comic. They’re not always easy to find. Over and over (years ago) people would almost always say the Batman or X-Men animated shows. Why did those bring in new readers, but blockbuster movies did not?

This is why things like Walking Dead, Invincible, The Boys, Umbrella Academy and things like that DO lead to selling more comics. Because comics are still the only way to get more of them.

Me and my buddy have decided to read the New Krypton Saga. Haven't read it since it was originally released but I loved it then, and it's finally time to do it again! This is a first time for Bro. He's clearly excited for it. #Superman

4 years in the Delta Quadrant (so far). Ensign Kim is a skillful technician, member of the bridge crew, continuously included with Senior Staff. Yet he is still... Ensign Kim. What shenanigans is this fool getting into between episodes that's keeping him from getting promoted?
