Injuries, sickness, isolation, parenting and the dentist—skiing has saved us from all these and more. Thankful for the privilege to slide on snow, and for the chance to write for @PowderMagazine one last time. Especially grateful to you, @DeepSnowHansen. powder.com/stories/when-skii…

I find this especially offensive to the increasing number of female readers we have worked to bring into the @PowderMagazine family. Sorry, ladies.

Throwing it back to one of the most legendary photos ever taken at Alta. 🙌 The photo went on to grace the cover of @powdermagazine. The skier went on to become the Director of our Avalanche Department. The photog is still at Alta trying to one-up this shot. ⛷: Grom 📸: Lee

This hits home. That connection is what makes skiing way more than a sport... This makes me realize it’s what I’ve been looking for since leaving Australia 7 years ago, and so far have only found in magazines and podcasts. I miss that feeling. A lot.

After we got the news that @PowderMagazine was getting "furloughed" I got to thinking about why I care about skiing, and stories, and why those two are so tangled in my head. And what we lose when we lose magazines. powder.com/stories/skiing-is…

A little late but still worth sharing. @PowderMagazine will be missed as I used it and @SkiingMag to plaster my childhood room to be surrounded by skiing all the time. Picture taken today. It was my school aged masterpiece. 😢❤️🎿 #mountaininspired #skiing #passion

For as long as I remember, each winter I look forward to checking out Powder Magazine's Trailer Park, listing every single ski movie trailer of the season. This year it's a true honour for #Holmlands film #TheRevelstokeDiaries to be included in the line up bit.ly/2GNmHXJ

And that's just me. So I guess what I'm saying is that when we lose magazines we don't just lose a chunk of paper that shows up once a month. We lose a spiderweb of ideas and connections behind the scenes and a forum to share them through. And creativity, weirdness and community
