It’s annoying that we realize children need a summer break and several vacations a year because they attend school, but we think it makes sense for adults to work 40 hours a week all year and probably get 2–3 weeks off in a whole year if you’re lucky.

nobody tells you how having a job takes away all your energy to do the things you used to love so you can afford to stay alive.

Turns out that in a secular society without rigidly enforced patriarchal doctrines, parents have to actually be pleasant people if they want their adult offspring to spend time with them. Boomers are the first generation to discover this, and they seem genuinely shocked by it.
Well, this is sad and terrible:
“Many experts believe that estrangements between adult children and their parents are becoming an epidemic in the U.S.”
“Psychologists say young adults’ definition of harmful parental behavior is changing.”
They “consider ordinary conflict to be much worse than it once was” and “have a much broader definition than their elders of psychological harm.”
“Many now view repeated criticism, strong disagreements and other painful relationship conflicts as abusive.”
“In their minds, they see themselves as more enlightened and therefore more justified to cut off for more reasons.”

Director Paul King on the untitled Fred Astaire biopic,
“I am thrilled and honored to have been entrusted with telling the story of Fred Astaire and his original dance partner — his big sister Adele — to the big screen. Fred left a timeless legacy of dance on film — most famously in his collaborations with Ginger Rogers — while Adele’s work has been lost to history; indeed, no footage of her dancing survives,” King said. “The cinematic challenge of bringing to life these icons of the twentieth century is one that I could not imagine without Tom Holland, Margaret Qualley and Sabrina Carpenter by my side.”

Chloe Bennet wants to return as Daisy Johnson in the MCU.
“I’m obsessed with Daisy. I feel like I am Daisy. I would be so protective of her... I would love to play her with the growth that I’ve had since I’ve had a break from the role.”

I'm 36 & still live with my parents. I'm not ashamed of admitting it. Both are in their 70s with health issues. I'm happy I'm here for them.
Unless I win the lottery, there ain't no way I could afford to live on my own in this shitty economy. This is the reality we are living.

Seeing people argue against a 32 hour work week is insane. Y’all need hobbies, friends, sunlight, literally anything outside of work. Life is not supposed to be just work until you die. We really will never revolt because some of y’all are way too brainwashed.

it's kinda funny that the government in the MCU wanted to literally nuke New York City to stop an alien invasion in 2012, but then there were dozens of other cosmic apocalypse events thereafter which did not prompt that (or any) response
