Psilocybin made human cells live 50% longer. A new study has uncovered surprising anti-aging potential in psilocin—the active metabolite produced when the body breaks down psilocybin, the psychoactive compound found in magic mushrooms. In laboratory experiments, researchers exposed two human cell lines (skin fibroblasts and fetal lung fibroblasts) to a 100 μM concentration of psilocin. The results were striking: lung cells took 57% longer to reach replicative senescence (the point at which cells permanently stop dividing and accumulate damage), while skin fibroblasts extended their replicative lifespan by 51%. These findings suggest psilocin may slow fundamental cellular aging processes, possibly by lowering oxidative stress, enhancing DNA-repair pathways, supporting mitochondrial health, or dampening chronic inflammation—mechanisms that overlap with those targeted by leading experimental longevity drugs. The benefits extended beyond cell culture. In aged female mice (19 months old at the start, equivalent to approximately 60–65 human years), a single monthly dose of psilocybin dramatically improved outcomes. After 10 months of treatment, 80% of the psilocybin-treated animals remained alive, compared with only 50% of untreated controls. Treated mice also displayed markedly fewer visible signs of aging, including reduced fur loss and graying. This research marks the first direct demonstration that psilocybin/psilocin can influence biological aging itself, rather than solely producing psychological effects. The authors emphasize that the study used relatively conservative dosing and are now advocating for follow-up work with higher or more frequent administration, detailed assessments of immune, metabolic, and cognitive function, and investigations into whether the extended lifespan corresponds to genuine improvements in healthspan and quality of life. 🇺🇸 Influencer journalist Dom Lucre went straight for the political third rail: Black Americans opposing ICE. His argument is that illegal immigration puts the most pressure on lower-wage jobs, where Black and other minority workers are heavily represented, and that people protesting ICE are effectively cheering for more competition at the bottom of the labor market. He also points to Chicago’s 2012 “New Americans Plan” and argues the city spent years building infrastructure for immigrants while longtime Black communities were pushed aside. Then he throws in the obvious grenade: if Mexico or Somalia wouldn’t let him cross the border and simply become a citizen, why should America be expected to? Writer: Sol

🇦🇷 An Argentine TV crew is interviewing an officer aboard the training ship ARA Libertad as it returns from a 5-month voyage. She finishes her bit, smiles, turns to walk away, and then the camera plus everyone crossing the deck just swallows her. She’s there, and then she’s not. The whole thing lasts maybe 15 seconds. And that concludes today’s episode of Find the Officer. Writer: Daniyal

Americans are finding out they’ve been lied about Lindsay Clancy and no longer support her “Like, b*tch, she was rich. I'm finding out more and more about this b*tch every day: - I didn't know this was a rich b*tch that we were speaking on, on behalf of - I didn't know her husband made 40K a month and the b*tch didn't have to work - I didn't know she had a maid - I didn't know she had a housekeeper - I didn't know she had a nanny - I didn't know her kids went to school 3 days out the week - I didn't know she had both sets of grandparents helping her - I didn't know her husband worked from home I didn't know a lot of things about this b*tch. If privilege was a f*cking person” “I can understand a poor mom doing this. Like, "Oh, my kids, we don't even have food.” — a poor person, I can kinda see where they're coming from. But this b*tch was balling out of control” “Like, b*tch, and even then, I should've known they said she jumped from a second-story window. I'm like, "B*tch, who got 2 stories in the house? This b*tch got money"” I went through and fact checked this it’s all true - Glassdoor estimates her husband’s income at $480,000 per year - She did work, quit and didn’t have to work because her husbands income have - They had nanny/ housekeeping help - Lived in a very nice home - Their family was in the “upper middle class” category - Grandparents helped, kids went to school and husband worked at home all true This is not someone who deserves anyone’s sympathy. This is someone who had all the resources possibly available at her disposal
