No offense but you make this sound more like a "powerscaling" issue than a "Death Battle" issue. Which would make YOU the tourist here. Since yes, plot wise, Saitama should win.
But as Death Battle as said before, plot distinctions only matter in their own worlds. Death Battle has to compare the two characters directly; and when done so, Goku just scales way higher than anything seen in One Punch Man.
And this applies to general powerscaling, assuming Saitama can win any VS matchup because he "always wins in one punch" is a no limit fallacy that his own series doesn't even apply most of the time since characters have tanked Saitama's punches before.
The biggest problem I've had with death battle is they're tourist central. It seems like all of their fans really don't care about any of the media they talk about outside of their singular personal pet show.
I have to listen to weeks of made up power scaler terms and idiots screaming about feats because they can't accept Saitama wins because that's the gag.
There is no mathematical formula or anything to it, thats just how both characters are written.
Goku would want Saitama to scale and even if he didn't, Saitama is ALWAYS STRONGER. It's not a slowly ramping up power, it's a gag.
It's not annoying by itself but their fans infect everything with their moronic discourse where they're all spitting out random headcanon cause they don't actually care about the series involved.
