4/4🧵 Running Warlord Games Epic Pike and Shot castle siege game with Jakub at actual caste site. 🏰 Something over thousand 15mm painted miniatures at the table. ⚔️
1/2 🧵 Finished my set of ruined walls from Printable Scenery, printed by Nerd Stuff. Not much more to say, except that it's a super cool set with lots of variety and character. A great, versatile addition to any modern wargaming table. (Also, the video review is up on my YouTube. Link in bio, you know the drill 🤣)

A few years ago, when someone cut out their mini in Photoshop and dropped it into a burning city background, everyone loved it. When apps made background removal a one-click thing on your phone, people were happy they could finally ditch the lightbox and Photoshop. Nobody said it was cheating.
Now you do pretty much the same thing with AI, add a cool background, some smoke and lighting, and suddenly it's a huge problem.
For me the miniature is still the real *human* art. The photo is just how you show it off, and mini photos have been edited for years. If AI starts repainting the model or adding/correcting stuff that isn't there, sure, that's not ok. But building a scene around it? That's just the old Photoshop background with a new tool.
Where do you personalty draw the line? Also my Bolt Action tanks for attention. 2 AI enhanced photos vs hobby desk one.

I've never been a huge fan of prone poses on my 28mm miniatures, mainly because they don't fit on regular bases. But these Victrix plastic guys really fit the theme of Spähtrupp scouts with the Infiltrate special rule for Warlord Games Bolt Action. There's 'obviously' no prone or crouching miniature with an MP40 suitable for an NCO, so I had to convert one. 😁
Drawing inspiration from Mauldin's cartoon Old Sarge and his Jeep, this rather darkly humorous diorama depicts an old and rather portly Sergeant of the fictional 45th Cavalry preparing to ‘put down’ his ‘mount’, the unfortunate jeep having suffered a broken ‘leg’. Older resin Soldier of Fortune from WarlordGames.
Full group of Operatives from Echo_dark_studios INX 2nd edition starter set. I realized I posted pics of teams, but never the whole group. 🔥
Test game of Greathelm at Točnik castle. ⚔️ Medieval wargaming at castle grounds! 🏰 We run just the "quick start" version but it seems like fun little game, ideal for traveling.
"Courage and Honour!" Only the finest veterans of the Ultramarines earn a place among the Victrix Honour Guard. Mine finally earned theirs on the painting desk 😄
Let’s take a look at the newest WW2 terrain pack from @MiniaturesPat . It’s a collection of 4 buildings designed as a street corner in 1940 Dunkirk, but IMHO it’s way more versatile than that.

Available in scales from 15mm to 28mm. I’m unboxing the 28mm version here, so it’s perfect for Bolt Action or Chain of Command.
