Four majestic horses from the tomb of a senior Sogdian general (d.664 AD), who defected from the Eastern Turkic Empire to the Tang dynasty. The three-color lead-glazed pottery statues stand 2.5 feet tall, indicating the military power commanded by the general in his lifetime.
