I was just binge watching 7-8 year old rust videos for the last 3 hours, and oh man would I give ANYTHING to experience rust for the first time again 💔 The game wasnt necessarily better back then, it just had a whole different vibe/atmosphere that you just cant find now😔

You can argue, that I and many others could choose not to play the servers but the truth is there isnt, every other weekly server is dead by the end of the week and then same cycle repeats, play on 700-1000 player server and deal with the ridiculous desync.

The game would be so much better off having multiple “main” servers. For an example. Rustoria should be hosting 3 different Main servers all not exceding the server limit of 400. That means theres 3 servers with 400 server pop that people can choose from.

By having this, i guarantee you servers last longer, BECAUSE people do not sit and wait another week for next wipe after being wiped out early on, on the server. They will join either of the 3 other servers and go again. Most of group players get off after getting raided.

I really wonder for how long this trash server meta is gonna be a thing. What surprises me more is how devs dont realise how bad the server meta is, these sizes of procedural generated maps are NOT made for this many people when you crank the server size up to close to a thousand

the servers cannot handle this many people, its a lag fest of moonwalking and heavy desync. Just because you can see the server statistics look stable on your end, that doesnt mean that the servers are stable because they are not…
