LATW reminded me that in life, you gotta be cracked at what you do AND be decently sociable. everyone in LA is on some BS, so if you’re non technical tryna raise a round surrounded by technical ppl, use that as a chance to learn instead of a chance to flex ur unfounded ego

if you are a gaming company and you don’t license your game for RL post-training, what are you actually doing with your life?
get with the program.
yes i was @ COLM for their efficient reasoning workshop, yes i believe metareasoning ought to be a first class training objective, yes i think chinese models now have a ton more RLHF, yes we shouldnt waste SO MANY TOKENS.
online RL envs are the future
can people stop suggesting we are close to RSI?
if LLM decisions were so good, why is calibration still so bad? and dont we NEED calibrated decision policies before we even begin thinking abt AGI?
like how are you gonna get the model to train itself if its doing NTP for nums?

“AI is gOnnA sTeAL my daTAaa” like relax bro you literally have nothing worth training on
what are community thoughts on latent utility functions in LLMs? like how else does the model calibrate/mimic user preferences without manipulating, in context, the inert utility function/manifold?
also should we post-train afriat into reasoning models?
hopping on the trend of “i think about the roman empire” while having germanic lineage has to be the most colonized mindset ive seen in a minute.
Like my bracha, your ancestors LITERALLY fought the romans to keep germany independent.
too many cucks is ruining planet earth.

Mr. Musk, yes, no billionaire should dictate a nation’s policy - Indian or American.
India must welcome competition in satellite internet, from Indian and global providers, whoever offers the most practical and affordable last-mile solution for those in remote regions. In countries with lower per-capita incomes, satellite internet must be affordable too. High subscription fees and equipment costs risk putting it beyond the reach of ordinary households. Connectivity must bridge the digital divide, not create a new one.
India knows our networks and spectrum are strategic infrastructure, not merely commercial assets. India’s national security safeguards are non-negotiable.
Every country makes choices based on its own interests. Those in the West cannot preach free markets while practicing protectionism at home. USA imposed 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs to protect its domestic industry, just as India takes measures to protect its own domestic manufacturers. Both India and the US have restricted Huawei over security concerns. One cannot demand a level playing field from others only when it suits its own agenda.
Indians will internally debate, question and address our strengths and shortcomings as a democratic country.
Take BharatNet, India’s programme to bring broadband to village-level local bodies. We will question why, as the CAG’s 2026 audit report found, the programme is struggling to meet its original objectives. Why were only 33.2% of service-ready Gram Panchayats operational, despite ₹39,888 crore being spent? At the same time, we know to appreciate our telecom sector and regulations, which has made internet data among the world’s most affordable, bringing millions online.
India is a democracy, not a colony. We welcome the world, but we, the Indian people, will decide our own future - not Western vested interests, their double standards or any billionaire - Indian or American.

The guy who built this digital whip for Claude Code is definitely getting a lifetime Claude ban for “abusive or cruel behavior.”
pantheon is the best tv show to see to understand whats happening & what may happen in the very near future. Integrity is coming, not super intelligence.
PANTHEON SPOILER ALERT
show got me thinking for AI to get good at solving physical intelligence problems, do we need to create parallel simulations for proper gradient ascent? do we need to do what ykw does and build a giant data center around a sun & then maybe we get robots?
almost getting mugged near usc and then going to an algos lecture & achieving flow state on an ICLR submission has to be the greatest LA/American experience I could’ve had today
so are we all just accepting that long-horizon agents will only work if we post-train models on economic games and to gracefully handle errs?

No woman has ever topped IIT JEE exam in 60+ years.
Until 2013, no girl made it to even a top-10 rank. In 2025, the top 15 ranks were all male.
No woman has ever headed an IIT campus, as a director in those same 60+ years.
Why are IITs - from aspirants to professors to administrators - so heavily skewed towards men?
Before you conclude anything about ability, three facts:
Girls beat boys in CBSE boards every single year. Women out-qualify men in NEET. Women took UPSC's Rank 1 three years in a row.
The variable isn't the girls, it's what stands between them and this one exam.
Families spend 13.4% less on daughters' education. The Kota bet is made for sons. Girls are just 23% of JEE Advanced test-takers.
And in 2017, an IIT committee found women were 20% of qualifiers, but fewer than half were allowed by their families to enroll in IIT despite eligibility.
They cracked the hardest exam on earth and lost at the dinner table.
There's a structural tax on female ambition in India, collected long before the test begins.
Zero female JEE AIR 1s was never a verdict on ability. It's an audit of their social and financial obstacles.
