Hey YouTube friends, help. Apologies as I know Google exists.
So I haven't uploaded in a while and YouTube turned off the Adsense income. They're basically looking to see if the channel is still alive.
Having said all that, should I just bring the channel down? I hate to...
suggest that but right now all those years of work are making YouTube money but not me.
I know the answer is just upload again, but I will bore you with all the reasons I'm not at the moment.
Am I missing something? I hate to take info down, but....well.....ya know....
This is the first Resolve release since 12 where I didn't know it was coming 😂
Off to watch videos to see what's new! (That's also new to me! From peer, to audience)
There are soooooooooo many Davinci Resolve channels now! I don't have a follow up to that sentence really.
I've just spent a day or two going through the YouTube home page saying to myself: "who's this?" "Who's THIS???" 🤣
1. I love that Resolve continues to update and makes workflows much easier than in the past
2. This also means that older videos made by YouTube creators, such as many that I made, are now inaccurate/obsolete lol
My multi-year run with Panasonic is coming to an end. Started with Canon t2i/60d...went to Sony....tried Olympus, went to Panasonic, and now....
back to Sony! Just does what I need it to do (I don't have the new camera yet, but can't wait to get it!)
1/3: Switching camera systems is almost impossible! Maybe I am being a little hyperbolic, but lately I have been considering starting with a new system other than the Lumix one I have now. I film less, and prefer to use my camera for bird photography, and some street photography
2/3 But I looked for an aps-c camera with a high fps, and they cost WELL beyond what I paid for my S5. I understand investing money is part of it, and you can't just "trade in" a camera system and get another but, wow. Add in that I want 2 SD cards slots, and the list shrinks.
Anyone else miss the REAL old days of the camera sphere?
I'm glad cameras progressed but I have a certain nostalgia for spending time after work and catching up on some DigitalRev and Dave Dugdale videos
Maybe I'm just old lol
Amusing that I no longer have any paid photo/video jobs or upload to the channel anymore but I am STILL excited about the new Davinci Resolve! Good stuff!!
What's the consensus on the best place to sell digital items? It is still Ko-fi? Is there a better option?
Ok which social media platform is worse? Facebook or this site?
The fact that I signed into Twitter (yes, Twitter) after a whille and I have tons of notifications, and 75% of them are informing me of things that were posted by people I don't follow makes me think this one.
1. I haven't posted here since October.
2. You didn't notice.
3. The enthusiasm to create content is gone. However, I'm still going to keep this handle, so I can check in - because you're all awesome 😁
4. See you in 3-6 months 😂
Can someone smarter than me explain YouTube to me? 😂(yes, I'm aware that's an amusing sentence)
Let me start off by saying I don't think that YouTube has an agenda against anyone, let alone me. But I really don't understand view counts and why things work and don't. Such as:
This video. youtube.com/watch?v=k_RFRv0B… Small channel (I know subs aren't that important) - uploaded about 2 weeks ago. 18000 views. Some may say its because his face is in the thumbnail. My last 3 videos with my face in it, combined, are STILL less than his. Now, to be clear...
In the grand scheme of things, still a small number.
But at the same time, still surreal. Honored that thousands of people chose to sub to watch more.
