I made a new PostCSS plugin for the new CSS `corner-shape: squircle`. It creates smooth corners like in iOS (and nature). The plugin adjusts `border-radius` for squircle geometry and can add `corner-shape` automatically. github.com/postcss/postcss-s…

We woke up to many new followers after the @rails and @AmandaBPerino announcement. Let us introduce ourselves. We're a design and engineering consultancy for devtools, AI, and cybersecurity startups, with a strong focus on Ruby and Rails. We authored and/or maintain 120+ open source tools, including @any_cable, Yabeda, Inertia Rails, TestProf, and @PostCSS. And we're hosting the second edition of our annual Ruby conference in San Francisco this November 10–12. The first two days are for technical talks and networking sessions, and the third day is for fun community events. More info: sfruby.com

Popular npm packages Keyv and Cacheable were hijacked, and malicious versions containing a malware were released to steal users’ access tokens. Protect your packages from the same fate with my guide, based on maintaining PostCSS and 100+ other projects: evilmartians.com/chronicles/…

The unsung heroes of our time. @43081j from the e18e.dev/ community cut 1 MB from caniuse-lite. With 700M installs per month, that saves around 700 TB of global internet traffic every month. github.com/browserslist/cani…

Here is my post where I share how to create a perfect README.md for your open source project (sharing what I learned creating PostCSS, etc) evilmartians.com/chronicles/…
I met @andreysitnik (creator of PostCSS, autoprefixer, size-limit) at my first ever conference. His talk was "how to make your open source project popular". Having a good README (beautiful and useful) is key.

Celebrating my birthday today: 39. If you’d like to support my work (npm supply chain attack research and trying to fix social media with Slow Reader), I’d be truly grateful for a GitHub Sponsors donation. github.com/sponsors/ai/

Supply chain attacks can’t be solved with one silver bullet. They need a systemic approach. For every dev layer (not just npm, but CI, Docker, and your editor) ask 4 questions: 1. How can we reduce dependencies? 2. Isolation 3. Update control 4. Review Thread ↓

PostCSS creator, @sitnikcode, shares how to make your open source popular. He also destroys the false idea that writing open source will make you famous, or that you should write open source to show your expertise. Plus, he explains how to avoid burnout when maintaining your products. evilmartians.com/chronicles/…
