He may be the worst coach in the league but at least he’s vaguely smug when not answering very basic questions
Asked Doug Christie about the status of Malik Monk and Domantas Sabonis:
“It’s preseason so what we really want to do is get everybody healthy and ramped up for the regular season… as soon as they are ready we will see them on the floor.”
Q: Does that mean they’re not healthy?
Doug: “That means they’re not playing.”
EZ: historic incompetence from head coach up to owner compounded over years. Combined with kid gloves media treatment & add a pinch of a fan base that just routinely acts like the team is doing them a favor by playing there. Voila; a perfect recipe for infinite mediocrity.
The only innovation the Kings have shown recently is finding new & inventive ways to let their fans down
I can save you the time. There isn’t one that works.
“I’m tired of talking about it. I want to see it. I’m tired of trying to guess what the Kings’ rotations are. I want to see what works, what doesn’t.”
@MattGeorgeSAC says he wants to see more from the Sacramento Kings' rotations tonight in Los Angeles as preseason play continues:

Inventing new definitions of existing words in order to be mad about them is a pretty good summary of their current playbook.
The only thing DC needs to do is to continue accepting the lowest coaching salary in the league by an order of magnitude.
“I think one of two things need to happen for Doug to come back next year. Number one, they have to win 40 or more games.”
@CarmichaelDave lays out what he thinks it would take for Doug Christie to return as Sacramento Kings head coach in 2027-28:

Kings making it impossible for the fans to watch the team is legitimately the only good thing they have done for the fans since drafting Haliburton.
Replying to @CarmichaelDave @kfippin
So, I’m not joking. I’ve done all this. I’ve downloaded apps. I’ve signed in and signed out.
Still can’t effing watch my stupid ass team play a stupid ass pre season game!
Grrrrrr!
I vehemently disagree with the idea that the Kings got "played".
Scott Perry saw an opportunity to build a relationship with Jalen Duren (which may still pay off down the road), but ultimately couldn’t bring him in because of the limitations of the roster/payroll he inherited.
Saying the Kings got used for leverage suggests Sac somehow loses something. They haven't. Only thing that changed is they're on Duren's radar. Nothing worth being upset about.
So you spent how long to not accomplish your goal? How many miles driven & minutes wasted to not do something? How many stores did you haunt until you found a smiling specter of an employee or is your son still cold w/ no jacket? I’m sorry your son is raised by a loser.
My son and I went to @LEVIS store in Auckland, to buy him a jacket. Shop was empty.
We tried it on, great fit, but the (sorry, Gen Zees) “assistant” didn’t smile, welcome us, ask “may I help you”, or acknowledge us.
So, we left, 250 bucks intact. I thought retail was struggling?
NOT LAST! Kings nation congratulations 🎉
