I'm deleting twitter tonight, I spend too much time here, that wee fascist isn't making one jot out of me.

So sick of hearing that farming protects British food security. The UK hasn't been self-sufficient in food production since the middle of the 19th century. And we won't ever be because the food system is all out of whack, we need more small-scale farmers, we need local markets.

If @livingwithlions would put out new music this year, I would be so happy.

Had a liver scan today, a peculiar experience. Waiting game for the doctor coming back now. Hightened enzymes, apparently. whatever that means. Scary.

We, alongside 99 organisations working to end domestic abuse and all VAWG, have written to @jessphillips MP after the misogynistic & far right attacks we’ve seen against her in the last week. We stand in solidarity with Jess, just as she has stood with countless women & children.

Pleased that the new Labour Government will scrap the deadline to record forgotten footpaths. This will give hard pressed councils time to record footpaths and bridal ways properly helping guarantee access to the countryside. A good move. bbc.com/news/articles/cy89yd…

I'll be on BBC Radio Wales at 6pm(ish) today talking festive folklore and Christmas ghosts. There'll be magical trees, pesky poltergeists, and an exclusive Mari Lwyd clip untethered from the archives. Tune in... if you dare! bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00261r… #folkloresunday

I bet Bill Gates is wishing he'd just used his billions to fart around in space like the other billionaires rather than try to make a more sustainable world for people.

Free speech, such a cornerstone to our democracy has been enshrined in law since... 1998, when we adopted the human rights act, and only granted thoughthe ECHR in 1950! We're not America, please, read a book.

It’s been a great week to be Labour. While certain parts of the media obsessed over Taylor Swift, there was plenty of good news for progressives. 7 things to celebrate:

Honestly, twitter is full of the most crack-pot tin-hat wearers ever. Do the grifters who play on these people believe any of this tripe? Or is it all for the cash cow?

Devastated that the editor of The Yorkshire Post would come out with such a transphobic tweet, conflating trans women and dangerous men, not only a bigoted view, it diminishes the message of the article. Women are at severe threat from violent men, and misogyny is on the rise.

I finally got rid of a stain in the house that had been left by one of my late granny's plants. It's strangely upsetting, like closing a door for the last time? Bizarre feelings to feel over a stain. Ha.

We currently have the highest tax burden since the 1940s, under his government. He's abysmal.
🚨 NEW: Rishi Sunak says Keir Starmer needs to be "straight with people" about which taxes "are going to go up" if he wins the election "As normal with a Labour government, it is the British people that are going to end up paying the price"
