“Under Surveillance” 🔴🔵- my first ever submission for The Memes by 6529
A quiet moment, slatted light, and the feeling that someone is always watching. 🧵

If you defend or support men in a position of power who are known to have predatory behavior towards female artists, you are a part of the problem. You are choosing to maintain an environment that makes the women in your community feel unsafe and sending us a clear message you find that behavior acceptable. Grow some balls and do better.

6529 is not perfect
it's a WIP
but it's the best attempt in the space yet
it has survived while many projects have failed
the surface hasn't been scratched yet
the community is growing in quality
and yes there are challenges everywhere including 6529
but let me ask , who else has been minting thrice a week in the last 4 years ?
I guess any talk about 6529 is good
even ossen's challenging remarks,
that's why they make them,
so people talk more about ossen.
one day you' ll understand it 🙌💙

Very excited for my event tomorrow night Saturday at 8pm (might want to get there a little early) in downtown Marfa at the Old Palace Theatre that’s been abandoned for the past 50 years !!! Working around the clock with the crew to get it ready… Really excited to throw this for the entire community. Everyone invited, free, no charge, no shill guaranteed! Going to be next level kinda stupid crazy 😂 🔥🔥🔥

6529 isn’t like the Apes. @osseneth Lol
What we’ve built here is the result of the collective efforts of countless artists, collectors and builders who’ve been through a lot and become pretty battle hardened over the years!
The way you talk about this just shows that you genuinely have no idea what we’re doing at 6529!
I’ve seen plenty of people like you over the past five years. Wealthy guys who jump into the space by buying art (attention!?) and then quickly either launch their own scam projects or just fade away :)
But I only know one person who’s spent all five of those years consistently building the very thing people like you are criticizing.
6529 is the real deal. If you don’t get it, that’s fine. You’ll figure it out eventually lol, Just show respect

A serious Clown
I am the serious clown.
The one who still wears the colors,
but no longer performs the joy.
My silence is the final act.

three years. three winters. one vanishing landscape.
each winter, i returned to the drying salt lake, working with the landscape, its changing weather, and the fragile conditions of a place slowly disappearing.
what began as a photographic project became a journey through absence, memory, and the possibility of becoming again.
the series is still unfolding.
👂🏻
i’d love to hear your thoughts, which image stays with you, and any questions or ideas for where the project could go next.
photos are in manifold link below

We artists have to make a living, and I commend everyone who shares their art on collectors’ threads so that it can be seen, I do the same.
But there’s a world of difference between that and sucking up to someone to the point of almost demeaning yourself, it makes me cringe on their behalf.
Not to mention keeping quiet in the face of injustice, or, as happened to me, speaking out in protest when a group of us artists were being swindled, sorting the matter out, and then seeing those artists distance themselves from me because they didn’t want any trouble , mind you, only after they’d already been paid their share.
I suppose not even 1% of the artists in this space make a living from their art, so I don’t understand this scramble to scrape together a bit of extra cash.
If anyone feels offended, I’m sorry. It offends me even more to see certain things.
I’m closing this thread because I don’t want any drama and because, quite simply, I do whatever I like in my own space.
Sorry for my English.
2/ I wanted to capture how even rest can feel observed. The stripes became bars, the sofa became a stage, and stillness became tension. Sharing few BTS here

not being hyperbolic when I say I am putting my body on the line to create art.
no AI. no 3D.
the fire is real.

Still incredibly proud of this piece and the work that went into it.
Only a matter of time until it resonates with someone who appreciates the combination of photography, practical effects, and digital manipulation 🔥
