Just finished one of the best books I’ve ever read in There’s Always This Year by Hanif Abdurraqib. It’s about so much more than ‘just’ basketball but it will resonate much more with those who, like me, are hopelessly romantic about their sports teams so I’m recommending on here

BREAKING: The NFL has launched an investigation into the #Eagles handling of Jalen Hurts after he was allowed to play and fly with a blood clot.
The NFLPA is pushing for severe punishment, with Philadelphia potentially facing the loss of multiple draft picks.

This post is from a known parody/troll account fabricating NFL news. Credible outlets report only on Hurts' medical diagnosis with no NFL investigation, NFLPA push for punishment or draft pick penalties.

Awful awful awful loss but some tweets have me wanting to repeat: Liam Coen made various demands that Bucs met in full and he agreed to stay as OC. He then ghosted and signed as HC elsewhere without giving warning or chance. That is NOT a mistake on the front office’s part.

It's real hard to fire a HC who improved his win total year after year and won 3 straight division titles in favor of a guy who had one successful year as OC in the NFL - so the hindsight is being used by those watching him have success in Jacksonville. That wasn't a guarantee by any stretch.
So when they asked what it would take to keep him and he offered his demands, they met them. Then he snuck off anyway and didn't even give the Bucs a chance to offer him more. He lied about what he was doing and ghosted everyone in the building. That's a far cry from "letting him walk"

Yea, they offered everything except the actual head coaching gig. They did offer the highest paid offensive coordinator role in NFL history at that point.
Should have straight up not fucked around and offered the head coaching gig... but hey, its all hindsight and now the Glazers can watch him dominate with the Jags.
Promoting people for good performance happens and they could have either let Bowles go or demoted him to defensive coordinator. The Glazers have the control to do it, at worst Todd could have left.
You're not talking to a casual who hasn't been dialed in to the entirety of the situation from that point till now. Promoting Coen would have been the answer and given how the offense played under him... they fumbled it.
Bowles wasn't the glue or the reason for high scale performance, now the Bucs are paying for the karma of not pulling the trigger.
