'Speed' derives from the Old English 'spēd,' which referred to good fortune/success.
This sense of 'speed' lives on in 'Godspeed':
"God spede you" = "God prosper you"
We hope this brings you up to speed.

Reading Rockefeller's biography helped me understand how important secrecy is. People he met would leave the room without knowing what he thought; John always spoke last and reluctantly. We've become too prone to sharing everything; places we visit, thoughts we have, people we meet. More time is spent telling about the doing than doing itself, consuming time from further doing; the elixir of life. The bar is getting so low that anything we might think, we share because we think it adds value. In a sea of nonsensical posts and useless information, it might. However, that's a deep problem of the modern era.
We don't spend enough time pondering about the merits and relevance of what happens. People chronically online are fed shallow, top-of-conscience output. It's become a rarity for someone to publish a Pavlov-like work (30 years experimenting, only then to write a book about it).
I don't know how to solve this. I'm guilty myself and I'm trying to go back to the roots. It has just become quite difficult to make 'ancient habits' compatible with modern work.

I think the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That’s kind of the whole point of having a job and I can’t believe this is considered a radical position for me to take.

Ravens look like a 10-7 team with Lamar Jackson.
Even though its not how he thinks, I couldn't blame him at all for looking for another city to play for moving forward.
Ravens coaches haven't boosted the roster at all through 6 games.
Jones: I've been told I'm too young to understand politics. Too young to understand why some neighborhoods get parks while others get police tape… But they never said I was too young to inherit the debt…. too young to inherit the consequences of decisions I never got to make

San Francisco has not built enough housing to keep up with population growth. This leads to higher housing prices, forcing people who don't work in tech to move out of the city. This hurts everyone, as the city is now less interesting. Agree other cities should learn from this.

Nigga had all these and played through a lot of these? Why do ravens fans show 17 more love than they do their own QB when it comes to playing through injuries?

On the play Lamar got hurt, Emery Jones was on the ground, while Jermaine Johnson ran unblocked with no other Raven lineman within 5 yards of him.

The Black Panther Party was founded in Oakland 60 years ago, and although the organization dissolved in the early 1980s, its legacy can still be seen and felt around the city. I think a lot of people would benefit from learning how to be BORED again.
Every quiet moment doesn't need TikTok.
Every drive doesn't need a podcast.
Every evening doesn't need entertainment.
Sometimes you need 30 minutes without somebody else's voice in your head to figure out what YOU actually want out of life.

Successful Black men are online. They just avoid lifestyle (flex) content. Surgeons discuss medicine, engineers discuss tech. Even the black cofounder of twitch barely talks streaming he focuses on VC/startups.
Confusing lifestyle content with success is part of the problem.
