So, to ensure conservation is better integrated into zero-deforestation, HCS should place greater emphasis on connecting forest patches across landscapes, while minimising human influences. 7/n

🌴💚🎅🏻Beautiful display @edenproject and next to the display telling people what sustainable palm oil & how we, as consumers, can make a difference. #ChooseSustainable #deforestationfree #palmoil 🌴🎅🏻
Beautiful orangutan model featured as part of the #Christmas light display @edenproject in the rainforest biome. Good to see the message about choosing responsibly sourced palm oil too @RSPOtweets @orangulandtrust

#Mustread article highlighting a nuanced debate around #palm oil production. Replacing palm oil is no solution, sustainable production is! #palmpositive

It's #WorldHabitatDay. Find out how the members of PONGO Alliance are creating and protecting habitat for orangutans and other species by visiting pongoalliance.org
It's #InternationalPrimateDay! DYK, orangutans cannot live in oil palm plantations alone? Forests are still vital. But orangutans are adaptable, we are creating sustainable solutions to allow them to co-exist in mixed oil palm and forests.

It’s not all doom and gloom! PONGO alliance is linking oil palm growers with conservationists to help coexist with #orangutans in mixed-used forests and utilize even tiny patches, as translocation is not always recommended (especially for females) #ConservationOptimism #ICCB2019 – at Kuala Lumpur City, Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory

Felicity Oram: #Orangutans can strive in fragmented forest and #plantation areas in Sabah. However, the number of orang utans declines as more land areas are being converted to plantation. So they can adapt to land use changes but cannot withstand total land conversion. #ICCB2019
Happy #WorldEnvironmentDay, we’re happy to see one of our palm oil grower partners, Musim Mas, reducing methane emissions. #BeatAirPollution
#Agriculture is the number 2 source of #AirPollution. This is why we capture #methane produced in our mills and harness it for electricity. It powers our mill, households in our plantations and supplies to Indonesia’s national grid. #BeatAirPollution #WorldEnvironmentDay #WED2019
Today is #EndangeredSpeciesDay. #DoYouKnow some endangered species are more adaptable than we think? Landscapes that include farms and plantations as well as natural habitats can play a role in saving endangered species. #PONGOAlliance #ReseilientLandscapes #Borneo
On International Day of Biological Diversity, we want to highlight the importance of contributing to wildlife conservation in land outside of protected areas as much as we do in protected areas. This will help reduce the eventual extinction of species. #PONGOAlliance
Our mission at #PONGOAlliance aligns with #InternationalMotherEarthDay! We want to develop innovative solutions to balance the conflicting objectives between wildlife and livelihoods. #ResilientLandscapes

Today is #WorldWildlifeDay! Our initiatives in the Borneo landscapes support the management of rare wildlife populations. Today we focus on #orangutans. Let's think big and long term. How about clouded leopards and pangolins? #PONGOAlliance
