Republicans dooming on Paxton have no clue how conservative places between the cities are. DFW has so many small towns and cities in it and very many of them are conservative. It's genuinely a turnout game of who turns out and if Talarico can flip enough suburbanites.
As much as Iโve been dooming on Paxton for the past few months, I will say he does have one structural advantage in his favor that most Republicans donโt.
Texas is one of the few red states along with Florida that are filled with high propensity GOP voters a lot of which are conservative boomers who moved out of big blue states like New York and Illinois.
Own the liberals by supporting liberal businesses

If the Democratic Party is going after the good-paying oil and gas jobs here in Texas, I'm going to stand up against them. I was able to pass 60 bipartisan bills during my time in the legislature, and the only way I could pass those bills is by working with Republicans.
I'm a proud Texas Democrat, but I already have a religion and I already have a sports team. You can look at my record in the legislature and see that I always did what was best for my district, even if it meant pissing off my own party, and that's exactly what I'm going to do in the U.S. Senate.

Texas being a GOP state, I'm fully aware of the potential that Paxton will win. I'm not getting my hopes up until I see the returns. But it's blatantly obvious that the Right is scared of this, namely by the Ohio controversy.
Both sides should be ready for any possibility.
