Welp, we're still having regular incidents of injured and dead whales at the Jersey Shore. But it seems that now that the wind turbines are canceled a lot fewer people give a shit.
Talarico debates with skeptical Republican and Independent voters on @CNN was great political theater.

The president has been saying for years that Putin wants to make a deal, but I'd love to know what the evidence of that is. He's the aggressor in this war and regularly attacks civilian targets with no military purpose. He is a war criminal.

Take a few minutes to watch @AnneCarusoPhoto sensitive portrait of members of NJ's trans community and their push to codify gender affirming care into law. It also features two of the most warm and generous grandparents you'll find on the planet.

Interesting that @realDonaldTrump doesn't want people wasting "their precious time" changing clocks twice a year but has no problem forcing poor folks to re-apply for vital Medicaid benefits twice a year.
In CD7 debate @KeanForCongress says "on federal level, I made sure that I protected Medicaid for every single intended beneficiary." By voting for the BBB? Congressional Budget Off says the bill will increase ranks of uninsured by 10 million by 2034.

This is not the first time a wire/cable was damaged amid NJ rail construction
- 12/4/25: overhead wire issue near Newark was caused by the contractor working on the Portal North Bridge.
- 5/12/23: Construction at PNB "affected electrical systems that impact train movements"
My story about the ground stops at major airports along East Coast, stems from a primary circuit and back-up fiber failures serving PHL TRACON.
Also worth noting PHL Area C (i.e. EWR/TEB) have had staffing triggers for days - might get worse after this.

THIS JUST IN: Plot twist, @Amtrak tells me this was a @NJTRANSIT contractor on NJT property that caused the outage leading to the telecom problems and causing the FAA to pause flights along Northeast.
UPDATE: An Amtrak construction crew accidentally cut into a fiber line in New Jersey which caused a telecom outage and forced FAA to pause flights in the Northeast.
Right now:
- Flights are resuming at LGA and PHL
- Flights into EWR, JFK, and Teterboro Airport are paused
This incident underscores the need for additional funding to modernize aging infrastructure and prevent disruptions like this in the future.

Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar voted to fund and arm ICE, stayed silent through months of brutal enforcement, and now, 47 days before an election, suddenly says Trump's immigration crackdown has "gone too far." I break down why her convenient conscience won't save her from her own record.
