Check out our latest publication on Uranyl Orotate & Isoorotate complexes. Congrats to my current undergrad student Emily Birchard on her first 1st author paper and my former undergrad student @lizdecoteau on her 2nd pub from my group!

It’s been way too long since my last post and publication from my group. Well, the wait is over! Very happy with this science and the hard work of Zoe and Annie!

I am happy to announce that I have been promoted to the rank of full Professor at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. My sincere appreciation to my students, mentors, and colleagues who have played a part in this journey, but most importantly to the support of my family.
My undergrad, Emily Birchard, gave a fantastic talk today (and the first out of my group solely focused on an Actinide) on her work this past year. She has some very interesting structures that we cannot wait to share with the world…..soon. Congrats, Emily!

Probably the most interesting element I have ever had the pleasure of working with. #fblockrocks
Congrats to @lizdecoteau (alumna of my group) on her first 1st author publication of grad school! And what a publication it is!

With larger, purer batches, @ORNL is moving closer to #routine #production of #promethium-147. Researchers rescue the #isotope, used for #nuclear #batteries and thin film #measurement, from byproducts of #Pu-238 ORNL produces for #space travel. ornl.gov/news/changing-proce…

Nine incoming objects detected: ~30m length total. Red velvet & mammalian cilia, radio emission from three chained hydroxyls: HO-HO-HO!
Great talk this afternoon by my senior research student Tucker! He holds the record for the most new structures made in a single semester (approx 2.5 dozen)!
Poster session time! Excited to highlight some relatively recent work by my awesome (former) undergrads! #rerc #fblockrocks
