At the Bombay station of All India Radio, it's Muslim director, Mr. Bukhari, refused to permit Master Krishnarao to sing Vande Mataram. When Krishnarao Ji began singing it anyway, Bukhari ordered the microphone to be switched off.
Deeply wounded by this insult, Master Krishnarao took a historic stand
“If I cannot sing Vande Mataram on the radio, I will not sing any other song on the radio either.” And he meant every word.

Today I learned about Anjali Gulate, the nurse at Cama Hospital during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, who not only saved 20 pregnant women but bravely identified Ajmal Kasab and testified against him in court.
Her testimony helped secure his conviction and death sentence.
The courage she showed in the face of unimaginable trauma deserves the highest respect. Salute to this incredible woman.
It also makes me wonder why are such unsung heroes rarely spoken about? We all know the name of the terrorist, but so few know the names of the ordinary people whose extraordinary courage helped deliver justice.
Stories like hers deserve to be told because they inspire generations and remind us what true bravery looks like.
A must-watch film! Bharat Bhagya Vidhata beautifully brings an untold story to life. Kangana @KanganaTeam you’ve done a wonderful job!🇮🇳

For this version, wouldn't mind providing BGM with khanjari myself lol.
The mere sound of Vande Mataram falling on her ears got the Italian mob boss triggered as if someone invoked the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and asked her to stop befouling our land and depart the country lol.

Hundreds of FIRs against Ranchi protesters.
The beautiful hypocrisy of silence.

Maharashtra FDA carried out inspections at 86 online food delivery establishments including Zepto, Blinkit and Swiggy.
They ended up suspending 14 licenses, gave improvement notices to 60 and temporary suspension to 1.
It looks like only 11 out of 86 passed the inspection!

Remembering Khashaba Jadhav
On this day in 1984, Maharashtra lost one of its greatest sporting heroes.
Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav, the wrestler from Goleshwar near Karad, made history at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics by winning a bronze medal in freestyle wrestling.
It was independent India’s first individual Olympic medal.
He had competed at the 1948 London Olympics too, finishing sixth, before returning four years later to create history.
Known as the “Pocket Dynamo”, Jadhav went on to serve in the Maharashtra Police, eventually retiring as an Assistant Commissioner of Police.

To the young Indians reading this on Independence Day: you will be told that loving India loudly is unsophisticated, that patriotism must always come with an apology, that our civilisation is something to be embarrassed about and our history should be remembered only through its failures. Don’t buy it. Read about Madan Lal Dhingra. Read about Khudiram Bose, Bhagat Singh, Birsa Munda, Kanaklata Barua and the thousands whose names never entered our textbooks. They were frighteningly young when they decided India was worth everything. We inherited a freedom we did not have to bleed for. Our responsibility is not to hate those who disagree with us, but to refuse the fashionable cynicism that teaches us to sneer at our own country. Question India. Criticise its governments. Fight its injustices. But never confuse contempt for India with intelligence. Build something. Serve somewhere. Know your history. Love this country enough to improve it. We have one life, and we were lucky enough to be born into a free India. Make yourself worthy of that inheritance. 🇮🇳
Felt pity for the grownass Congitard who wrote a whinefest that INC missed a golden opportunity not using the phenomenal "gift" that was 'chhota bandar' jibe.
Trust retards to run with the most retarded idea & think it will usher in a revolution. In the land of Hanuman, no less.

Default on farm loan, State will waive it. Burn rice stubble, State will ignore it. Steal electricity, State will subsidise it. Attack police, State will allow it. Eke an honest salary, State will tax it.
State will reward defaulters, polluters, and rioters, not honest citizens.

We’re really okay with this, huh? No action? Taking the page down is not enough because another three will be created to replace it. Find the people responsible and enforce consequences.

Why should anyone, be it criminals or students or youngsters, who indulged in arson, rioting, violence against the state forces, not face the legal consequences of their actions?
What message is the ruling BJP giving to the common man of India? If indeed, they drop charges of violence against every violent protestor.
What message is CJP and Congress giving to the Mango Man by insisting that charges be dropped against every protestor?
Is the application of law different for every Indian?
No sane Indian wants any innocent student to be framed, but how can violence be tolerated?
Monopoly of Violence rests only and only with the Indian state and to hell with anyone, who wants to challenge this non-negotiable operating principle.
Indian State is supreme, irrespective of which party commands it.

It took India a decade to embrace Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Meanwhile, CJP & protesters who ordered food, colas, beer, KFCs during sit-in left 60 tonnes garbage behind!
Add littering to abuses & pelting.
This was a public disorder masquerading as activism

The most violent rioting in the name of protests occurred in Bihar. I'm sure all of you have seen the videos: vehicles torched, civilian cars vandalized with terrified families inside, cops attacked, widespread arson and chaos.
And this is what the Bihar govt announced just now:
If any roaches, rodents, flies or worms are willing to extract this ethanol junkie's resignation, will send a few cartons of mineral water and yellow banana chips fried in coconut oil to your protests.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has approached Bombay High Court against-social media posts linking him, and his family to E20 related business gains.
According to Nitin Gadkari's lawsuit in Bombay HC, the disputed content on social media include posts and deepfake pictures and videos etc linking him and his family to profits from the E20 ethanol blending programme. Lawsuit filed by him also emphasises that the ethanol blending policy is being administered by the Petroleum Ministry.
HC has allowed him to file a civil suit against Meta and other social media platforms and unidentified entities which are allegedly being used for spreading misinformation against Nitin Gadkari and his family.
