🚨 Axis Bank transfer ratio
After yesterday's regig, there are actually 3 different ratios for Atlas and 2 for M4B/olympus.
Here is a handy chart:
🚨 Axis transfer partners regig with devaluation
Some big changes. And mostly not good.
❌ Group B is almost unusable
❌ ITC removed
❌ Air India, Air France, and Qantas move to Group A
❌ New partners at 5:2 ratio except Lufthansa and Hilton
✅ Accor is back! 5:2 ratio though
✅ Lufthansa, Hilton and Cathay added as partners
✅ Lufthansa is in Group B with a condition: max 200k LH miles
Missed transferring to ITC and Air India when I had the chance. 🥺
What do you think?

And with this revaluation, this is the best way to utilise our SBI Rewardz points!
Just got Rs 7,500 worth Amazon Pay. 🔥

🚨 Check Marriott cancellation policy before booking
This is for award (points) booking also.
Booking during Singapore F1 has a free cancellation period of 90 days in Westin for example.
Cancellation can cost a cool Rs 1,50,000 per night.

🚨 Apply for HSBC TravelOne card and get Rs 2,200 cashback!
Applying with Cashkaro earns you Rs 2,200 in rewards (available via bank transfer or Amazon Pay)! 🔥
HSBC TravelOne is a great card to hold. I have it despite holding the Premier. 😉
We know Atlas gets 10% back for flight bookings but T1 get 4% (8.8% as Accor). There is a zero forex offer live now that gives the same rewards without fees. 💥
If you have never applied for HSBC TravelOne card, consider applying with my referral:

🚨 HSBC’s zero forex offer from tomorrow!
Zero forex on all cards + card rewards on top
TravelOne: 4% (8.8% Accor) 🔥
Premier: 3% (6.6%)
T1 is actually a better card for forex than Premier at zero forex. 👍
Glad to have both. 🤩

Ohh, Maximize to Finnair is 1:1
Missed this part previously.
So an easy decision. 👍
10 SC = 7 Maximize = 7 Avios
7 Avios is valued over Rs 7.7 so an easy decision.
My SC will go to Maximize. 😀
🚨 Where to transfer the supercoins?
Supercoins ➡️ Maximize ➡️ Accor is possible
10 coins = Rs 7.7 value after taking both the transfer ratios in mind.
Another option is 10 coins = 5 Avios
My only source of coins are from Uber only so not significant but thinking how to do it.
Question is whether 5 Avios can be valued over Rs 7.7?

🚨 ANA adds a cherry blossom surcharge to the sale
Departures during March and April will now be Rs 84k for Delhi. 😬
As I mentioned during last month's promo, better to book while there is no surcharge. Last month there was no surcharge.
Mumbai is available without the sakura surcharge now.
While the fares are high, it can still make sense if you wish to travel during the peak period.
🚨 ANA Hello Blue sale to Japan is here!
Rs 75k for Delhi and Rs 76k for Mumbai return fares to Japan.
Again this month, the fares are high, though Mumbai fares have come down a bit.
The fuel surcharge itself is Rs 65k, so no wonder the fares are high.
Plus:
✅ 1-2 free domestic flights
✅ ~2500 miles back (choose any Star Alliance or Virgin Atlantic for credit)
❌ Non cancellable
❌ Blackout dates apply
Till 13th August only.

🚨 Best sweetspot of Air Canada points - Europe in business class for 40k points!
Though AC recently underwent a devaluation (15% inflation), the good thing is that a few were revalued.
Delhi to Europe for 40k points (taxes are minimal at Rs 4.9k) 🔥
Delhi to Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, etc for 40k points in business class when economy itself is 30k is a great value.

🚨 HSBC cards limit tied to TRV
HSBC generally would give you limit based on TRV (if Premier).
~20% of the TRV as limit.
So when I applied for T1, my RM said it would not be possible for T1 as they can’t really have a higher limit. (HSBC doesn’t give floating/shared limit)
So I gave consent to reduce my Premier limit by Rs 1L and the same to be given to T1.
In the end, they issued T1 with just over Rs 1L limit.
We can ask for limit review once in 6 months.

🚨 Free Airline status with higher Marriott Bonvoy status
Marriott Bonvoy elites can get complimentary airline status.
And unlike Accor, it is not tied to one partnership. We can hold all statuses from this. 🔥
1⃣ United
MileagePlus Premier Silver status (Star Alliance Silver)
2⃣ Air Canada
Aeroplan 25K Status (Star Alliance Silver)
3⃣ Japan Airlines
JMB Crystal (oneworld Ruby)
*All the above three are only for Titanium and Ambassador elites.
4⃣ Singapore Airlines
No straight status but a status match
🔸 Platinum and above: SQ Gold when taking 4 flights in 6 months
🔸 Gold: SQ silver when taking 4 flights in 6 months
5⃣ Lufthansa
No straight status but tier points towards status
🔸 Platinum and above (also LT Gold): 40 status points per stay up to 120 points per year. Frequent Traveler status requires 650 so we are are 18% there
6⃣ Cathay Pacific (no longer possible)
Initially when CX had the partnership, Marriott Platinum and above members got CX Silver (Gold with 300 status points in 12 months)
Apart from the above, we also have Emirates (and for a limited time United) wherein there is dual earn. 👍

🚨 HSBC Hopper - Price Drop credits on the day of travel!

I now have enough credits for a free flight/stay. 🔥
Replying to @PointsPro
2. Price drop protection
If the flight price drops (10 days from booking), we will refund the difference to you in travel credits up to a maximum of INR1500.

🚨 Cheapest (and maybe easiest) way to access Doha's Al Safwa First Lounge!
Just booked a Qatar Airways flight in First Class. 😎
Al Safwa is a First Class lounge and one of the best.
The cheapest way to experience it is to book a cheap regional Middle Eastern route.
Regional First Class with QR is normally nothing fancy but the one I booked was a QSuites. 🔥
Lol, I will just head out to the airport once I wake up for a 7 PM flight. 😉

🚨 Accor x Fairmont F1 viewing deal for Sunday is sold out
Sunday is already fully sold out. You may want to book for Saturday if interested.
Blows my mind that people okay to redeem Rs 66,000 worth Accor points for a glorified watch party. 😬

🚨 Tour to Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix!
After my posts about this last week, there was a lot of interest, which caught me by surprise, as I do not post about F1 or motorsports as such.
There are some tour operators doing this but I believe we can do this much cheaper and in a better way.
Going to keep a super small group.
I'm updating the cost and options available as of now:
1⃣ Flights: Rs 24k onwards but more like Rs 30k. [Some award options are available like Etihad or Qatar but may not be available both ways]
2⃣ Hotels: Accor with points (Rs 90k/2 pax) for 4 nights. Or if you are ok with sharing Rs 35k/pax with half board option.
3⃣ F1 tickets (3+1 days): Rs 18k onwards
4⃣ Misc cost: Rs 15k
5⃣ Free stuff: Pit lane walk, Bell helmet factory visit, concerts, fanzone, F1 Visa, shuttles to track-hotel
So it is around Rs 1L-1.2L per person as of now.
Obviously some points and miles can be used to bring it down.
Express interest only if you are ok with this type of budget.
