Dear @PoetsonThursday, I truly have to apologize for all my absent and laggard conduct, once again this year. Suffice it to say that there have been many issues, including a bad cold & cough keeping me feeling tired, and a sort of sabbatical "incountry" which also took up a few days. For 6/12/25, discuss poetically--the word "discuss" is used advisedly, as it is often applied in older times as a synonym for "eat"--a particularly lush meal, either symbolic or only celebratory, in the Jonsonian feasting poetical mode.

I just finished a series of paintings inspired by a friend’s poems (they’ll be used to promote her upcoming book!) 🎨🖌️ I had a ton of paper scraps left over. I turned them into flip book style mini-journals! ☺️They make the perfect little gifts💫

Dear @PoetsonThursday, good to have you back, Victoria. Unfortunately, I don't have a 'luscious meal' poem, just this throwaway whimsical verse about my struggle to cut down on #chocolate and eat more #fruit!
Thanks for the platform.👍

Dear @PoetsonThursday, write a poem about the time when you were the happiest. In some ways, that time may be still to come, but just restrict your writing to a time in the past, overall. This is for Thursday, 5/8/25. Go to it!

Hi @PoetsonThursday
I recently learned that Shakespeare took Romeo & Juliet's story from a poem by Arthur Brooke. Bit disillusioning 😄 google.co.uk/books/edition/T…
On an unrelated note, here's my poem 'Heart of Power' from 'Emergent Dreams'. Feel free to review on Amazon/Goodreads

Dear @PoetsonThursday, For this week (5/1/25), write a short poem in celebration of May Day, and what the musical song calls "the merry month of May." Don't feel you have to restrain yourself on the subjects of May poles, lads and lasses on the green, etc.
Yes, it's Lucie-Minou. She is my joy and significance.

🙏I hope things improve Victoria💛
I'm glad to hear you're with your Lucy-minu (spelled wrong I'm sure) but hope that gives some mutual joy & comfort💞

When I #encounter poetry
I know it’s so because I cease to seek
anything #additional, I see
everything that fleets
stays eternity,
reminding I’ve no need to grieve
poems ending, there will always be
more to see, more poetry for me
to write & read.

Dear @PoetsonThursday, I greatly apologize for not having the poem I promised to bring today. But sad to say, as I have found out this week, I went from an uncomfortable shelter existence to what at first appeared idyllic solitude with my cat, but then turned absolutely nightmarish. The old people's home I moved into turned out to be full of senior hoodlums who have taken up their time and mine by trying, I'm not sure? to intimidate me out, dominate me, steal my benefits such as foodstamps from me by getting in with illegally obtained keys when I am gone and tampering with my devices and wifi. They have also done things to some of my food, or allowed others to do so. The federales have been alerted by me in every department that I am familiar with, have a connection with, or have relatives in. They have kept me busy most days with this extreme invasion of privacy by preventing me from successfully putting up new codes and passwords on my devices to get away from them, flashing up illogical things such as messages that the passwords don't match so that I had to do the same thing over and over, faster and faster, trying to prevent their getting the codes. They just this minute forced me to have to change this Twitter account password! They are largely foolish and not well-edu aged and strike me as a probable hoard of Trumpers. But this is the place where I am paying rent, and they are not going to make me leave: it's in fact my job to make them pay for what they've done. So, I've determined that I will never speak in a neighborly fashion to a single one of them again, never invite them in or have anything to do with them. One can only say what one actually feels in spaces that belong to one of course. They're not driving us out! I've been on the housing list for this place since 2021, and I paid my first rent on March 12th, despite the apparent presence somewhere of a squatter who used to live in this apartment. I got the keys and mailbox keys on that day, but was unable to move in actually until April 15, when my stuff was delivered. So, since I have been getting harassed even more here by the Trumpean troglydites than in the shelter, I was too busy defending myself to do a poem. I'll put something up soon, promise. I hope you guys have a great weekend coming! Love and hugs, Victoria
