I wish there was more talk on Twitter about local SEO focused on small biz. The lawyers, plumbers, dry cleaners, etc. There's to much high-level theory on SEO and not enough tactical advice.

This is why initiatives like @TheFCDC and the work @chimammeje is doing is SO important. It's not okay to show off $50K revenue niche websites that are built on the backs of people being paid $2.5 hourly. How are we supporting this? I'm so upset and disappointed by this tweet.

A search for "best SEO" now shows tools, rather than people. After the last few weeks of twitter, one could argue that a search for "best SEO tools" should maybe start showing people?

Forget about SEO for a second. Did you know that screen readers use headings as anchors? They can be used to jump around a page. Think of it as the equivalent as skimming a page. Here is an exercise to emphasize using headings that follow a hierarchy and not because of styling.

IMO in regards to link acquisition, "internet only" organizations have a significant disadvantage compared to those that have an offline presence.
