Starting soon is so I can run a stupid long ad and while I'm live and actually playing a game/chatting I'm not losing anyone that pops in. As a streamer with a low ccv, I've had worse instances starting immediately because new and consistent viewers lose context and leave.

If you're a small streamer, this is true Imagine This: Your viewer gets a notification that you went live, Clicks it, Then is disappointed to get hit with a 5 min (or longer) Starting Soon screen They'll leave. Large streamers can do long 'Starting Soon' scenes because their audience will actually sit through it (they've built a strong community over years) When you’re smaller, you don’t have that pull yet.. It's better to just get straight into the stream
