I talked to @PuckNews about the consumer AI assistant space and how we're approaching it at @PleasePlatforms. Here is a snippet from: "In these early days of Please, Shaya wants to target 'creative professionals,' people who might 'appreciate any product or service that helps them stay in flow, get the other stuff out of the way so that they can focus on what they are passionate about.' It's a real-life iteration of the viral idea expressed by author Joanna Maciejewska, that A.I. should do 'my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing,' not the other way around. Technologically, Shaya described Please as an orchestra, with a conductor layer at the top ensuring that all the sections—large language models, A.P.I.s, toolsets—are producing the right kind of harmonies."whatever,” Shaya told me. “It’s really optimized for planning.” Thanks @IKrietzberg puck.news/ai-butler-wars-the…

Last night, I heard Taylor Swift say in an interview that her goal is to help people escape their reality. That is the essence of entertainment. Beautiful insight. We all need that escape. As we build @PleasePlatforms, our goal is to empower people to shape their reality. I believe both are important—the escapism and the shaping. I wrote a few thoughts on that. open.substack.com/pub/omarsh…

Our purpose at Please AI is to empower people to bridge the gap between what they dream of doing and what they actually achieve. That's why I am super excited to share a new Please AI content series: #StartHere. We talk to people who inspire us and explore how they Dream->Plan->Begin to turn their ideas to reality. In the inaugural episode we talk to Benedikt Lehnert. Born and raised in Germany, Ben teaches design at Princeton University. He was Chief Design Officer at @SAP. Before that he was a design leader at @Microsoft where he helped transition the company to the mobile age and reinvent their design system, bringing @Outlook Mobile to the #1 productivity app in the @Apple @AppStore. Ben was also the CDO of @6Wunderkinder, maker of @Wunderlist, the top To Do list app that was backed by @sequoia capital and was one of the first acquisitions that @satyanadella made as he took over as CEO. I am grateful to call Ben an advisor, mentor, and a friend. Enjoy!
Struggling to start your project? 🤔 Our new Start Here series shares how thoughtful people actually begin. First up: Ben Lehnert (Microsoft, SAP, Princeton). His mindset? Make to think. ✨ Start small. Create and let momentum build. Read his profile: pleaseplatforms.substack.com…

The formula to bridge the gap between what you dream of doing and what you actually achieve is simple, but not easy. We are building Please to make it a little easier and a lot more fun: please.ai/

What do planning a dinner party, getting to 12% body fat, and going from Syria to Stanford have in common? Well, they are more similar than you think. You set an intent, you figure what needs to be done, who needs to be involved, and you do it. With a little bit of luck and help here and there, you arrive.

We're overwhelmed by your amazing response to our new name, Please! ✨ Our new domain is now live at please.ai 🚀 Massive thanks to our incredible community, we can't wait to show you what we're building 🔥
We are excited to announce that we are changing our company name from MultiOn to Please. Here are the 5 reasons why: 1) /ˈmʌl-tʃən/: MUL-chun People often mispronounced our original name, multion, as MUL-chun upon first reading it. We don’t blame them. 2) A kind word to ask for help As a consumer AI agent company, there’s no better, kinder, or more universal way to ask an assistant for help than to say "please." 3) A dictionary word Our new name, "Please," is a standard English dictionary word. It’s one of the most commonly used words ever. 4) International appeal "Please" is often one of the first words people learn when they begin learning English. It also translates easily into other languages: bitte (German), por favor (Spanish), s'il te plaît (French), shukran (Arabic), and qǐng (Chinese). 5) The perfect domain The domain please.ai is available. Someone on our team joked that Silicon Valley forgot how to say "please," so nobody thought to claim the domain. This week, we will begin rolling out these changes across our website, emails, social media, and products. We expect to finalize the transition by the end of January.
