Replaying splatoon 3s story mode, deep cuts initial motivation for interrupting our exploration of alterna is that only THEY can loot this land😭 hope the motivation for raiders is deeper than that

Finished the game again finally, I still think octo expansion is better even though alterna refined the formula they began! Octo expansion had its genuinely challenging moments, alterna plays mostly for fun (excluding the after alterna level)

I don’t see it often or maybe I missed it but I think the octo expansion level formula is the best thing to happen to the splatoon series, alterna is by far the most fun of the 3 games campaigns

And so the Sony digital only knock on effects continue, with indie devs/studios having to explain why they don’t have physical releases yet if at all. Fun fact: physical is expensive hence many indie games are digital only NOT cuz of Sony

We’ve literally had people tell us to CANCEL our digital release and do physical only. IDK if people realise that we are just 2 people and this is our first game. We’d LOVE to do physical & we support physical ownership but our game kinda has to do well digitally first 🤷

That and indie teams/devs can be small and hence literally do not have the budget to afford whatever it costs for physical releases. If all indie devs/teams could afford physical releases (and it was commercially viable for them) im certain they would.

Sony killing physical games is purely corporate greed unlike indie studios devs and teams who are just trying to make good games.
