Not having INXS in the RRHF is shocking. INXS harnessed the power of Rock, Funk, RnB, Post-Punk, New Wave, and Dance to create their own powerful, unique, and successful sound. Their lyrics harkened back to poets from generations prior, with a dose of sensuality and inward reflection and hopefulness. Few other groups had/have the power and energy INXS had on the live stage. And no other band had Michael Hutchence as their front man. Hutchence walked that fine line between rebel, poet, singer, lover, and shaman. Hutchence once said that Rock n Roll meant "Freedom" for himself. He showed us young men, through his singing, lyrics, and performances, that we too could be free. INXS' music is as fresh now as when it was first released. They are a major part of the soundtrack to my life and they live in the consciousness of millions of other fans. INXS in the RRHoF!
