#VaultFestival2023 NON-announcement!
As I gleefully RT pals shows, I wanna put it out there that we're NOT taking @hasbianshow to VAULT because we can't afford it.
Sharing in solidarity with everyone else who can't make art in this (literal) economy.
ALT Promo photo for my show. I'm a white person with dark wavy hair in a high ponytail, in pink dungarees against a pink backdrop holding a blue book open with a teardrop on front. The expression on my face is mock-shock, open mouth, one eyebrow raised, as though scandalised by the contents of thr book (its my teenage diary)

I recently submitted a (FoI) Freedom of Information request to The Porterbrook Clinic, Sheffields (GIC) Gender Identity Clinic that I have been referred to.
Their responses expose the shocking state of trans healthcare in the UK NHS.

Thank you! 😊

We strongly urge any trans and non-binary people, especially those in the incredibly vulnerable position of being victim to hate crimes, to not work with the BBC under any circumstances.
We do not believe that you will be guaranteed any safety, and the BBC is unwilling...

fat activists have BEEN saying this!
but obviously it’s much easier to blame individuals than it is to address the systemic issues
Researchers who study Type 2 diabetes have reached a stark conclusion: There is no device or drug powerful enough to counter the effects of poverty, pollution, stress, a broken food system, cities that aren't walkable, and inequitable access to healthcare. nyti.ms/3SRkKZS
