The entire s106 and community infrastructure levy debacle do nothing but increase the price of market housing, is it then any wonder, when paying for affordable housing, schools, health care facilities and roads, many can not afford to buy a house. theguardian.com/society/2026…

Whats to stop the BoE printing the money to build as many as necessary then deeming the debt piece by piece on receipt of the rents and sales. more or less all could be built on agricultural land, compulsory purchased at at agricultural land value. theguardian.com/society/2026…

Well what a surprise those currently exploiting the BNG regulations by doubling costs overnight bemoaning their loss if income when a modicum of sense is introduced. Off site BNG provision never benefits nature deprived communities because it's OFF-SITE. theguardian.com/environment/…

Emily Thornberry has just been announced as the new Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee. In October, Thornberry repeatedly refused to say whether cutting off food, water, and electricity to Gaza was a violation of international law👇

Enough of the hysteria, PMs acquaintances could also be a powerful and valuable asset to the security services, dis-misinformation wise, its all a matter of trust (whilst quietly keeping tabs). theguardian.com/politics/202…

If the Labour Party think they have any hope of redeeming the situation they would do well to remember it was the UK Electorate whom elected KS, not a self obsessed caucus of MPs plotting in behind closed doors. PR for the next G election would be a good. theguardian.com/politics/202…

In English local elections, the voting system means councils often don’t reflect the way people actually voted. Millions of local votes don’t help shape the final result. We deserve a voting system where all of our neighbours help shape what happens next. action.electoral-reform.org.…

This seems relevant: Remember when the police dragged in 87-year-old Holocaust Survivor Stephen Kapos to be questioned under caution because he was on a protest against Genocide and wished to lay flowers for the dead children of Gaza outside the BBC

Attempted murder of very sick man set upon by even sicker officers or vigilantes.
#BBCQT I’ll just leave this here. The Met Police intervention and attempted skewer against Zack Polanski’s comments by Fiona Bruce tonight were unjustified. Zack Polanski was right - this was unacceptable force.

When someone with MH issues stabs a couple of random members of the public, its not terrorism but a failure of the NHS. Singling out and focusing on a particular "community" for special protections etc misses the fact that its a random occurrence. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

Strange world isn't it when The UK Air Force, at the behest of non NATO Arab Nations shoot down Drones & Missiles transgressing their air-space, yet decline to intervene when the same are transgress over non NATO European air-space. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

Seeming to me to be pure rhetoric, the amount of tyre in contact with the road spreading the overall load of the vehicle on the road, small vehicles small tyres, large vehicles large tyres. distributed load per sq mm very similar. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

I agree.
Israel is a rogue state and our government should treat it as such. Our Government should have suspended diplomatic and trade relations long ago but if not now, when?

It's well past time to boycott the Evil Empire (Israel if any is wondering) K S and the rest of you will be judged on that.
Anonymous briefings against your own leader are not clever politics – they are a sign of insecurity. It is time to stay united and deliver.

Is it that Trump and Vance are so entirely compromised and held to ransom by Putin that they dare do nothing but Russia's bidding regardless of consequences, because there just so obviously is nothing in it for the US regardless of the outcome. theguardian.com/world/2026/a…

This is a lie. There's no evidence that tens of thousands of Iranians were killed by the regime earlier this year. This claim has been repeatedly promoted to support a war by fanatics who threatened to destroy Iran altogether.
