American flight AA5089, a Bombardier CRJ-900LR, to St. Louis (STL) shortly after takeoff after an odor, described by a passenger as an 'electrical burning smell', was reported. The aircraft landed safely back at STL, 35 minutes after takeoff, and vacated the runway. An evacuation was carried out, during which one occupants suffered serious injuries.

A Dassault Falcon 50, N200SG, sustained substantial damage when it aborted the takeoff from runway 01L and went off the end of the runway and struck a perimeter fence with the left wing at KLAS.

Following a combat mission on the Korean War front, the aircraft was returning to Yokota AFB in Tokyo with one engine inoperative. On final approach, the airplane was unstable and the pilot-in-command decided to make a go around when the aircraft stalled and crashed few dozen yards short of runway threshold. A Cessna 525 Citation CJ1, N600AL, was destroyed when it crashed immediately after take off from runway 14 at Bedford County Airport (KHMZ), Bedford, Pennsylvania. The two occupants suffered minor injuries. The airplane went through the airport perimeter fence and crossed a road before coming to rest. A post crash fire ensued and consumed the airplane.

A Saudia Airbus was destroyed by a Houthi attack at RIyadh's King Khalid International Airport (RUH/OERK). Saudia confirmed one pilot was killed. It was not reported if he was insude the aircraft when it was hit. The aircraft had arrived at RUH at 23:30 on October 7 and was due to operate flight SV1295 to Gurayat (URY) at 07:55.

A Cuencana Airlines Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, HC-CYM, was landing on runway 06 at Mariscal Lamar International Airport (CUE/SECU), Cuenca, after a flight from José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE/SEGU), Guayaquil, when it overshot the runway and fell down a small cliff into Hurtado de Mendoza Avenue. The airplane was supposedly carrying valuables from Guayaquil. Both occupants were not injured and the aircraft received substantial damage. ADS-B data from Flightradar24 shows the plane was going at a ground speed of about 92 kts at a position 520 meters (1640 ft) before the end of the runway.

While approaching West Lafayette-Purdue University Airport by night, the pilot encountered poor weather conditions and low clouds. He decided to reduce his altitude in an attempt to maintain a visual contact with the ground when the airplane clip two trees and crashed in flames in a rain-soaked field located about eight miles southwest of Lafayette. Two passengers and the pilot were killed while four other passengers were injured. They were flying back to Lafayette after a hunting camp in Canada. Deer, ducks and fish were found in the wreckage.

An ATR 42-500 operated by the Nigerian Air Force crashed under unknown circumstances in Igbokoda, Ondo State. 32 People, including 7 Crewmembers are reported missing.
