A reminder that we don’t vaccinate just to protect ourselves. We also vaccinate for:
- Immunocompromised people
- Older adults
- Infants too young to be vaccinated
We vaccinate for people we love, people we will never meet, people whose protection depends in part on us.

Written by Sly, this song is about how in life we must overcome obstacles and stand up for our rights; if we want something we have to go after it. Also to make people realize that everyone is free mentally because people cannot tell you how to think

Overheard my 16-year-old giving a briefing to his 12-year-old sister before the bus arrived this morning:
“If you hear loud pops, you do not sit in a corner under a coat rack like they tell you. You kick the screen out of room 104, sprint across the field, jump the creek, and wait for me behind the car wash. Do not text me. Just run.”
She didn’t even flinch. She just nodded, took a Sharpie, wrote “104” on the inside of her wrist, and grabbed her lunchbox.
No tears. No panic. Just two siblings coordinating an evacuation plan before 7:30 in the morning.
Parents: What are you actually telling your kids to do? Because our kids have clearly decided the official drills are useless.

Debbie Harry against a wall of records, wearing a T-shirt from the 1978 Telluride Film Festival. Look over her shoulder and there's the Shangri-Las' I Can Never Go Home Anymore. Blondie came out of the girl-group records, and you can hear it. One of their very first demos, in 1975, was a cover of the Shangri-Las' "Out in the Streets," and their first two albums were produced by Richard Gottehrer, who had worked with the Angels and other girl groups in the early '60s.
💛 Which girl-group song would you want to hear Blondie cover? 💛 👇️

ALT Color photo of Debbie Harry, with a platinum bob and red lipstick, in a yellow T-shirt printed with a red and green building and the words "5th Telluride Film Festival." She leans against a wall covered in record sleeves, one hand open beside the Shangri-Las' I Can Never Go Home Anymore. Above her are the Bay City Rollers' Rock n' Roll Love Letter, a yellow and red Mouse album and an album of four Japanese girl singers in colorful outfits.

19th Nervous Breakdown

The most annoying thing about being human right now is knowing we already have the intelligence and resources to end world hunger, fight climate change, and cure cancer, but greed and billionaires keep millions suffering instead. The wasted human potential is heartbreaking.

ICE agents just tried to take a U.S.-born citizen off a residential street in Long Beach, California. The entire neighborhood came out, used trash bins to block their unmarked cars in, and refused to let them take her away!
Even after agents threatened the crowd and deployed mace with elderly neighbors standing right there, the community stood their ground and she was able to get away safely.
When a neighborhood stands together, they cannot just disappear our neighbors.
