Tayshaun Prince’s response to who his ideal starting 5 would be out of all the guys he played with
His answer is obvious but it’s still awesome to hear
We don’t need to do this anymore. The contract is signed, the differences are being ironed out. It’s over. We can move on.
The Pistons reportedly told Jalen Duren that he is their fourth-best player during contract negotiations, per @VinceGoodwill
(h/t @Fullcourtpass )
🚨 BREAKING: Jalen Duren has agreed to sign a five-year, $200M fully guaranteed contract to return to the Detroit Pistons 🔥

If Duren doesn’t sign the QO by midnight, that’s essentially a white flag from Duren and his camp.
If a player doesn’t sign a QO or extension after their contract expires, they can’t play until they sign one or the other.
Not signing anything by midnight tonight begins a holdout and Duren’s side loses all leverage. Zero chance Duren is okay with not playing for an entire season.
This circumstance would tell us that he will re-sign with DET, and that it’s just a matter of time.
In just, Duren not signing the QO today drastically benefits the Pistons and their chances of retaining him.
Name this former Pistons player 🤔
In one season with the team, this player appeared in 80 games, had 1 start and averaged:
🔹14.2 MPG
🔹5.0 PPG
🔹37.1% 3PT
🔹54.5% TS
🚨 REPORT: The Pistons and Jalen Duren are “at an impasse” and it’s unclear whether Duren will attend Media Day next week.

This, coming after reports of the Pistons offering Duren a 5yr-$200M contract.
Not good news for Pistons fans.
🚨BREAKING: The Pistons and forward Ausar Thompson have reached an agreement on a five-year, $155M rookie-scale contract extension 🔥

🎥 FILM ROOM: John Collins' Versatile Offense
🔹 Shooting Efficiency: Collins combines elite efficiency with floor spacing, posting a 62.0% eFG - 7th among qualified NBA players and 2nd among power forwards last season. He shot a career-high 40.6% from three, including 43.0% on catch-and-shoot attempts and 45.0% from the left corner, making him an ideal complementary scorer around primary ball handlers.
🔹 Scoring Versatility: He provides more than spot-up 3PT shooting, producing 1.03 points per post-up possession (71st percentile) and shooting 50.8% from mid-range. Collins can punish mismatches and score from multiple levels without needing to dominate possessions.
🔹 Interior Scoring: Collins converted 75.3% of his attempts in the restricted area, combining his athleticism and ability to play above the rim to become an explosive finisher and vertical threat. His presence as a roll man forces weak-side defenders to tag the roll, creating easier looks for shooters while adding another dimension to the Pistons' pick-and-roll offense.
Collins' combination of elite efficiency, floor spacing, and interior finishing gives the Pistons a versatile frontcourt scorer who can complement their primary creators without taking the ball out of their hands.
This weeks Film Room covers the offensive versatility of John Collins
📊 We'll go over some of his better stats and percentages that point to why he should be a great fit in the offense next to Cade
⏰ Film Room drops at today at 12:00pm
🗓️ The Pistons' first four games might actually be their toughest four-game stretch of the season 👀
How should we expect the Pistons to fare in this four-game gauntlet? 🤔
The Pistons 2004 Finals introductions were so hype 🔥
My favorite part is when Larry Brown almost has a heart attack from the pyro explosion 😂
🎥 FILM ROOM: The Skillset of Isaiah Joe
🔹 Catch and Shoot: Joe averaged 1.18 PPP in the half court (94th percentile) and shot 53.5% from the corners - 1st in the NBA among players with 100+ corner 3PA.
🔹 Handoff Scoring: A major part of his skillset, Joe produced 1.18 PPP on dribble-handoffs (90th percentile).
🔹 Contested Shooting: He maintains his mechanics under pressure, shooting 42.3% from three on 6.0 attempts per game - 10th among qualified players
🔹 Transition Scoring: Joe produced over 1.40 PPP in transition while filling lanes and spacing to the arc.
🔹 Shot Creation: While this isn't a high usage source of his offense, he uses pace, footwork, and ball handling to create space and needs little room to get into his release.
🔹 Cutting: Joe produced around 1.40 PPP on cuts, taking advantage of defenders who overplay his shooting.
Detroit doesn't need Joe to dominate the ball - they need him to elevate the offense around Cade Cunningham. His shooting, spacing, and off-ball ability make him an ideal fit in Detroit.

📊 There’s some extremely eye-opening stats from Isaiah Joe coming in this week’s Film Room.
🎥 We’ll break down what makes him such a dangerous weapon and how his skillset fits in Detroit.
⏰ Film Room drops today at 3 PM.
📊 QUICK STAT: The Pistons now have two of the NBA's top three qualified corner-three shooters from last season.
🔹 Isaiah Joe: 53.5% - 1st in NBA
🔹 Javonte Green: 50.0% - 3rd in NBA
Their corner spacing will create significantly more room for Detroit's primary ball handlers to operate.
Rasheed Wallace going off late in game 4 of the 2004 NBA Finals
This run felt like the moment that changed the mindset from “They can win” to “They will win it”
What a time to be alive 🔥
Some very telling graphics about why we can trust Paul Reed to fill Stew’s role just fine, from @LedgieSports
🎥FILM ROOM: Cade Cunningham Playoff 3PT Shooting
🔷Cade raised his 3PT% from 34.2% on 5 attempts per game in the regular season to 40.2% on 7 attempts per game in the playoffs.
🔷He looked comfortable, confident and decisive from behind the arc throughout the postseason.
🔷Whether it was off the dribble, off screens or on catch-and-shoot opportunities, Cade showed major improvement from deep in the playoffs and gave the Pistons reason to be excited about that aspect of his game heading into next season.

Not the worst Jalen Duren update we’ve heard lately from @ShamsCharania
🎥FILM ROOM: The Top 5 Traits of Ausar Thompson
🔷Shot Blocking: Elite, period.
🔷Stealing: Elite, period.
🔷Lob Threat: Insane athleticism with great hands.
🔷Driving/Finishing: Already very good - still improving.
🔷Cutting: Consistently gets behind the defense for multiple buckets per game.
Ausar Thompson is - and will continue to be - a core part of the Pistons’ future.
