The Sunday Times approached Nigel Farage and Reform about this story this morning. A confidential source told us that Delo, a crypto billionaire criminal pardoned by Trump, had given £35m to Reform. Now, as with other stories on Reform finances, it has been given elsewhere.

Regardless of which party benefits, donations on this scale inevitably raise questions about political influence and whether there should be a ceiling on individual contributions. All parties take donations 2021 - Labour £9.3m, Lib Dem’s £2.9m, Greens £0.3m 2022 - Labour £12.9m, libs £4.47m, Greens £0.5m 2023 - Labour £21.6m, libs £6.58m, Greens £0.6m 2024 - Labour £37.6m, libs £9.76m, Greens £0.8m In those pre election years Labour took £81m, Lib Dem’s £24m, Greens £2.3m. This included offshore hedge funds. I would love to understand better the targeted selective. Either all are bad and should stop or they are Ok and should be as transparent on source.
